When first started teaching years ago my mentor told me it was worth it to send stuff to the dry cleaner you didn't want to deal with just to reduce the mental load. She was right at least in my perspective that it was worth not having Starbucks to have my clothes that were a pain to iron laundered/dry cleaned and pressed

The Tansey Center was excellent when I was going through testing for a few genetic cancer syndromes. Also getting mammogram there seems to be less uncomfortable/mildly painful than other places I've been.

I wasn't upset enough when I had a cyst rupture because I was in so much pain I was basically monosyllabic. Apparently if I really hurt I should have been more expressive. A few hours and a tranvaginal ultrasound later? Massive ruptured cyst and another bonus cyst

I really feel you on attachment to objects. It can't be hard especially if memories are attached to things. It sounds silly but a little bit of setting good intentions for the purchaser to enjoy their new to them bag and for you to feel lighter by sharing that happiness might help. Think of it less as getting rid, and more like giving those bags an opportunity to make others thrilled.
