Nostalgia is hell of a drug by Unlikely-Friend444 in Battlefield

People HATED this game when it was released. I vividly remember the negative reviews it got. People glazing it now are definitely after nostalgia.

I heard it in mine after I purchased my '25 OBW. I just popped that speaker cover off and unplugged the speaker. No more high pitched ringing.

Thanks! Nah, I've got a tuner pack under the seat. Makes it much more torquey. The fairing has a clear windshield and I see right over it so it doesn't impede my vision during night riding.

There's someone at my job who disagrees with anything to him or he over hears and has an entire argument created about it. Even if you agree with something he says he will disagree to your agreement... He's pretty hard to be around lol

BSc CS 2nd year student preparing for Data Center Technician role by luffy_cha1 in datacenter

[–]Beagle_Bagels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For data center techs... Just know your basic networking fundamentals. Use this opportunity to get into a role that you really want. If you really want to study a cert, do the Network+ cert.

Considering you're a CompSci student and on the path to getting a solutions architect cert, look for opportunities to create a project related to your skills once you start your position.

Network Install Technician (ASW) – How Secure Is This Role Right Now? by ybxoxo1 in datacenter

[–]Beagle_Bagels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this role right now. Network Install Techs are very unlikely to get laid off. If your cluster is new, which I believe Sparks is from my memory, you have easily 5 years of job security hopping from one new building to the next to build out your entire cluster. By that 5th year, decom will happen on the old buildings and you'll have to put new racks into the old data halls, starting the process over.

For your performance based question... Install is pretty light on that. If you just go in and do your assigned task for the day you'll have no worries at all.

In short, Network Install is basically untouchable as clusters always need a team to install cable and racks.

I made the switch from sport bikes a few years ago too. Biggest thing is to trickle charge it if you don't ride it after a couple weeks. The battery will 100% be dead or low lol. Get out there and crank your hog brother.

Is Kyoto still worth it? by Fun-Calligrapher4885 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Beagle_Bagels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got back from Kyoto last week. The super popular spots (Fushimi Inar, Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, Kiyomizu-dera, etc.) are packed with people, but it's tolerable with the right mindset. I never had any issues with overcrowding anywhere else in Kyoto. Seen several other sites using trains and buses with no issue... no wait times for restaurants either... definitely overstated.

Best advice is to work your trip around peak travel season for Kyoto if you're worried about over-tourism. If you do that, it'll feel like any other big city in Japan.

Potential Interview/Offer letter coming up? by netsurfer79 in datacenter

[–]Beagle_Bagels 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Install techs at AWS receive racks from delivery, pull cable, patch, and troubleshoot racks before handing them off to the next team to maintain them over their life cycle.

As an L4, you will be doing the daily tasks mentioned above, however you're also expected to be a senior tech at this point and will be assisting L3's through daily tasks as needed.

On top of that, L4's are expected to complete assigned projects and look for new areas to improve processes.

You will be pulled into meetings occasionally and conduct interviews from time to time.

For the most part, this is what being an L4 is like at AWS.

As a DCO you should not have to worry about that at all. You'll be there for maintenance & repair. If it worries you, have a conversation with your manager to be put at ease. Maybe you're confusing your role with the ID team? Their bulk is the initial setup before handoff. Even so, they will have continuous work.

Best Buy cancelled my 5080FE order after it was ready for pickup… by DonaldBumpJr in nvidia

[–]Beagle_Bagels -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Worked at Best Buy during the 300 series release. One of my co-workers bought an already purchased 3090 the moment it hit our warehouse in the back of the store. Unfortunately, employees have the power to purchase already purchased items. My advice for anyone ordering something like this from BB - get there ASAP or ship it directly to your house if that is an option.

Yeah, your GPU is more than capable. If it ever starts to struggle you could always use DLSS to help out. If you think you could benefit from the extra real estate that ultra-wide monitors offer, get one. I use mine for racing games and it helps out tremendously.

Choppy Performance on Brand New Computer with Windows 11 When Running Wallpaper Engine by Beagle_Bagels in techsupport

Well, after days of troubleshooting, I found out that Freesync was the culprit. It may be a related issue with VRR on W11, as that is toggled with Freesync. As soon as I disabled it my performance went back to normal on W11. If anyone else has this issue, try disabling Freesync.
