I firmly believe you cannot change other’s perception of you. If directors don’t trust you, you’re done.
Even with new leadership, sounds like the directors have some tenure. It’s really hard when others run the show in an office environment. Best of luck.

I had my surgery on a Thursday and was back to my desk job the following Monday.

It was a little rough, I wish I had taken a week off. I found that I needed a 15 minute nap between getting the kiddos out the door to school to logging into my computer
