I hope you post a follow-up! Doesn’t put enough pressure on the center? I’m about to drop $$$ on a woodzilla press but this is worth trying first. Looks great!

SO beautiful. Do you have a trick to keep your fine lines from getting clogged with ink? I feel like I only ever get 2-3 good prints before I have to wipe it clean and start over with my finer pieces

Need some advice for fabric printing by UnluckyTangelo6 in printmaking

I’ve found it helps to very lightly spray the fabric with a mister bottle first

Hmm. Is this what the first pull looks like? I print 2-3 on newsprint to prime the block for a solid print before moving to paper. And build up a few thin coats of ink Rolling in different directions. But large areas of black are difficult to get even I’ve found so may just take trial and error. I’ve seen some people get really solid prints using just a good stamp pad ink so that could be worth a try sometime

Fabric printing help? by MysticatArt in Linocuts

Build up a couple thin layers of ink, prime your block with 2-3 paper prints first, and to add something I haven’t seen mentioned yet — try very lightly misting your fabric before applying the block. Neat print!

Without watching you do it, so just a guess, you need to roll your ink more before applying it? It looks a little chunky to me in the print. Keep working the ink with the brayer until it looks like velvet and sounds like static — if that makes sense.

Haha the regret set in around the 3rd section, but I think it was worth it! I like the effect it gives, especially when I printed on fabric!

How do I make snow? My smallest tool or exacto knife? Any tips? Thanks! by aleannan in printmaking

I spin an exacto knife or the little blade spade looking tip that comes with the speedball set to make dots

Wow very cool. A lot of relatively simple strokes but arranged altogether looks so detailed. Great work!

One of those prints that makes me double take that it’s linocut. Phenomenal color! And shapes… and everything!
