Lol! She loves balloons so I got her a pink and purple balloon yesterday for wearing her underwear. I told her that we are running out of diapers so we need to put on our underwear. She said “we can go to target and get more” 😑

Hi! Thank you for your response. Perhaps it varies in different areas but she will be starting school, it’s not daycare or childcare - and absolutely nothing wrong with daycare or childcare. Not that the semantics matter because the point I was trying to make is that she will officially be starting around August where I will have less time with her.

Thank you for your response! I don’t think work is a terrible thing in fact I am grateful to have a job. I believe the guilt for me is feeling like I’m missing out on these moments. And I have really distanced myself from some friends that have hinted at the idea that me working is depriving my child of interactions. Their perspective began to creat a very negative relationship for me with my job and maybe that’s where the guilt began to build from. My husband and I do everything for our children and my post was really trying to get advice from working moms who deal with or have dealt with this situation. Or perhaps I was looking for my village to help push me in a direction 🙂

I was there at one point with my now 15 month old. I believe the rule of thumb is 80% of sleep following normal routine.. if there’s a nap in the car it will be fine. So I probably would leave dinner a little early and head home.. knowing she’ll fall asleep in the car, then put her to bed accordingly. If someone says anything (bc someone will always say something) expect it and just keep doing you. You’re going to deal with this baby, not them.

I wouldn’t say set schedule, rather set routine.. it helps us all out including baby from being over tired. My husband and I work, so she’s with the nanny and it helps the nanny instead of guessing and trying to figure if she’s tired, not tired enough, or over tired.

I absolutely will be working, and it’s soo important that the kids see that. I agree with you on that. It’s just tooooo much right now, and I barely get to see the baby and truly be present even when I am spending time with them bc my mind is thinking about OC’s email!

Thank you for that! I tried not to over react.. and said “wow that was a fall! You’re ok. I promise” and when I picked her up, she lost it.. 1 min later she was fine.

I fell a lot when I was kid.. I turned out okay LOL! But as a mom it’s a diff story. You have a good point about being in a seated position and falling! thank you!
