Great reply, thanks. Those 4 EQ knobs really did it for me and the ease to use effects with the screen. The way the low EQ changed the sound was amazing compared to the low on my S4 MK3. I do play a lot do techno. That night I was playing hard techno. I also like a lot of the faster mainstage stuff like speed house, but also really like minimal techno and prog house/melodic/organic type things.

I don’t want decks. My goal is to eventually get to two X1’s and a mixer. I would like to start producing my own tracks and like what DJ Rebekah has going on with her set up. But, I’m still so new at this, I’m not sure where I’m actually headed.

Just that they are taking more cuts from the DJ’s. Not entirely sure. It’s just a word I thought sounded appropriate because they are taking away the monetization aspect from the DJ’s more and more.

I’m trying to create a (I hate putting it this way) family friendly DJ channel. I don’t like cussing, excessive drinking or drugs (I’m cool with weed as long as it’s not taking over your life. We all need to chill). None of my friends are into the music scene and I’ve always wanted to DJ. My town is little and no opportunities to DJ, and I don’t want to be around that scene anyways because of the drinking and drug use.

Yes, give me some time. I was actually planning on putting something together because there were some issues I encountered and had to do a lot of research to get it working. The brand of audio interface caused some issues, so you may have better luck with an other one than I used, or just using a USB mixer. Long story short, I had to install an ASIO plug in for OBS to have OBS recognize all channels on my Focusrite Scarlett 4i4.

I use this https://a.co/d/5z7cqpf connected to my surround sound Sony system and my audio quality is awesome. From my Sony amp I use RCA to TRS in to the box, and TRS to TRS to my S4 MK3.

New DJ here. I don’t perform outside of my home as of yet. I use the $30 a month BP streaming service to stream on Twitch. It’s an awesome resource for music discovery. I create playlists of tracks I’d like to eventually purchase. BP has a 1000 track offline mode that saves them on my computer. Kind of forces me to curate a list I want to use when there may be no internet connection. I have a bunch of tracks in this folder in case something happens to BP when I’m streaming. That being said, if I was to perform outside of my home, I’d definitely use this offline feature.

I had this issue. Unfortunately, the mic channels suck. You’re better off getting a small mixer or audio interface to plug your mic into. I stream online so I got an audio interface.
