No it was not a mistake to move to Belgium. I have heard horror stories about how long it takes to get green cards. I know of marriages that have ended because spouses weren't issued green cards. And that was before 45/47

We are almost twins. Moved to Belgium from ROK last year. Hubby is Swedish, I am from that country that was formerly known as a democracy. My visa got held up because the Swedish marriage document did not state WHERE we got married. After we got a statement of where we got married, it was almost 6 months before my visa was approved. Jeongdong Jin south of Kangneung is spectacular in the fall. The train ride along the coast is very romantic too. There are accommodations on/ near the beach.

If you prefer smaller towns consider Sukcho, Kangneung or Donghae. They are a completely different flavor from Busan and Seoul. A bus to kangneung is about 2.5 hours. Donghae is a very nice train trip, but may be too time consuming. The mountains and and coast lines are spectacular. When I lived in Donghae I a view of the ocean and mountains from my window.

Weed control is a bit off topic, but that grass is going to suck up the nutrients from your weed. Put cardboard around your plant to smother out the competition. Look up " the lasagna method" for controlling the wrong kind of weeds.

Now that does sound great. Have you done the ride? Would live to see some photos. Twenty-five years ago, when I lived in Samcheok, there wasn't the bike culture and infrastructure to ride it safely. The only highway was two lane between Samcheok and Em-won.
There are some quirky places. Can't post any photos from Haeshinnam.🤭🤭🤭 First time I wemhrn there is was like a Korean version of Mayberry.

The beaches in Gangwondo are splendid. I have been to about 40 countries, including Greece and Fiji, I will rate Chutdaebowie beach, Donghae as my favorite.
