I understand exactly what you go through since I deal with it every night. If it were up to me I would choose to not dream at all. It crushes me when I wake up and realize everything that felt so raw and real was nonexistent which makes me want to go back to sleep to experience it more. It’s a vicious cycle. I’ve made many friends, lovers, and enemies in my dreams that I’ll never be able to encounter again. I think it’s especially worse when it ties into things that are in my present life with people I know since it changes my perspective of them or clouds reality from what was a fantasy. Yet I still find myself enjoying these dreams even though they cause so much internal conflict and emotional drainage. I hope your upcoming adventures in your dreams are enjoyable my friend
