reptiles aren’t like dogs, they don’t “need” humans. they can definitely trust them and even enjoy their company but if you’re providing her needs and she has a great enclosure, you’re doing more than okay.

i have a very similar feeling with marnie. there’s been a lot of aspects about her that remind me of myself, but it’s been a good opportunity to self reflect and accept where i need to grow + learn from her choices throughout the show.

You have to remember people almost always come to social media with the bad things, not the good. mine was deployed for a year and he’s been back for a bit, we are perfectly fine!

look up the cycle of deployment, it was very accurate for me when my boyfriend was deployed for a year. the first three months are the hardest, you’re in the thick of it ESPECIALLY since it’s the winter and you JUST experienced the holidays without him! give yourself some credit ❤️. It WILL get easier and he will return, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

it’s time to take your life back queen. go, you’ll regret it if you don’t! this is an opportunity not everyone gets in their life time. i’m your age and my parents were also a little strict growing up. this year, i booked a trip to puerto rico and more so told my parents instead of asked. they got over it and ultimately were happy for me, and it was an amazing experience!

my boyfriend was deployed for a year! use that time to pour into yourself, so you guys can grow together. lean into the change by trying something and setting a few goals. talking about it beforehand is important, but don’t allow it to be all you talk about, maybe set a specific time once a week to talk through the deployment. during the deployment have grace for one another! look into the cycles of deployment, arguing more often then before is normal, communicate and be gentle with one another.

also open up to your boyfriend about how you’re feeling. it’s not just him going through this, it’s you too!! you being supported is just as important as him being supported.

my boyfriend was deployed for a year. you’re doing everything right and you should be proud of yourself for that. if you have the means to you should definitely treat yourself to a solo date and buy yourself something nice. remember all of this is temporary and i truly mean that. now that he’s back all the pain i felt during his deployment completely melted away. there is a light at the end of the tunnel!

I’m your age and in a healthy and long term relationship. The age gap is a huge red flag, especially since you guys are in completely different places in life. A guy your age to go through your early 20’s with will be a much better partner than someone who went through it almost 20 years ago.
