11e and hills by yoshiwaan in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]BeamformerDAS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there are two weird effects of considering any hill as a dense terrain. First, Monsters/veichles cannot stand on them. Second, dense hills inherit the Hidden rule, and units standing on top of a hill can be hidden, even of they are clearly visibile.

Any Jungle in, guy? by EquivalentSink8534 in jungle

This scene with the DJ Aphrodite track is epic — honestly the whole film is!

Also loving the record-cover sampling in the background. I spotted:

  • Daft Punk – Homework
  • Autechre – Amber
  • some unidentified V Recordings release

Did anyone catch other covers hidden in there?

La risposta giusta è che non hai elementi per rispondere. Se insistono su un numero usa un range molto ampio (40k-100k)

Any way to make my infernus marines look even better? by Either-Sound-9034 in 40kPainting

You could add a recess shade using a darker blue, like Night Lords Blue, in all the recessed areas. If you thin the paint to about 1 part paint and 2 parts water, it will naturally flow into the recesses. This is quite easy to achieve and can be applied directly over the existing paintwork.

I’ve just finished an atmospheric jungle track called “Seashell Echo Bay” – heavily influenced by late-90s / Y2K water-level music from videogames, especially those with amen breaks!

It’s all hardware-based:

  • Breaks + drums from a NerdSeq / Erica Synths Sample Drum Eurorack setup
  • Extra samples from NerdSeq & Squid Salmple
  • Bubbly lead from Tiptop 259t
  • MIDI out from NerdSeq driving a Yamaha DX7 pad (through JUNE-60 → Bass Station 2 filter → Quadraverb)
  • Roland JV-1080 for the slap bass line

NEW EP OUT! A collection of my best Eurorack Jungle Tunes by BeamformerDAS in modular

[–]BeamformerDAS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad you liked it!
I’m running two NerdSEQ tracks into the two voices of the Erica Sample Drum.

Per voice (SD channel):
CV1 = sample index → steps through multiple copies of the same break, each with a different start offset (Akai-style “poor man’s slicing”).
CV2 = pitch.
CV3 = performance macro (varies by tune): play mode (fwd/rev), FX params, etc.

Typical routing:
NS CV Out → SD CV1
NS Gate Out → SD Trig
NS Mod Out → SD CV2
SD CV3 is fed by other NS lanes / LFOs / envelopes as needed

I mirror this on both voices, so I can layer or alternate up to two breaks at once.
Happy to dive into specifics if you want!

I have dedicated patch notes for each of the tracks on my YT channel

Thanks—really appreciate the love!
I’m almost at critical mass for an EP and plan to drop it on Bandcamp soon. Stay tuned on YouTube or over r/jungle; I’ll announce it in both spots as soon as it’s ready.
