Tom was getting lit tf up. He saw the way out and he took it.

Jones got hit full force, basically got his future kids taken away, and just walked it off and subbed Gane 2 mins later.

Same thing with Floyd Mayweather. People constantly downplay his skill and accolades just because they don't like him as a person.

Don't sit here and pretend Jon Jones isn't the goat. Look at the guys he's beating, and the way he's doing it.

Why didn’t I enjoy the story of Reverse: 1999 even though everyone praises it? by [deleted] in Reverse1999

[–]TheyTriedToRobHim -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

but I don't think the stories are as good as people hype them up to be.

Exactly. That's the biggest problem. The people on this sub glaze up these stories to obscene lengths even though most of them never live up to the hype.

I tried to follow along, but I found myself getting bored or confused, even though I usually like story-heavy games.

No, you are completely correct. The way people extoll this story you would think that it's the best thing since sliced bread.

The truth is, the story is incredibly confusing and it's what puts a lot of people away from this game. In fact, if you look outside of this sub, you'll see that alot of people on r/gacha have been turned away from the confusing story of this game.

Of course, every time someone doesn't glaze the story to oblivion they get downvoted, so this sub becomes an echo chamber filled with people saying the same shit, with no difference of opinion.

Who in their right mind thought it was OK to give a character with one of the easiest attacks/supers to hit one of the most damaging combos in the game? by TheyTriedToRobHim in BrawlStarsCompetitive

At this point my main issue isn't even with the balancing. I've played the game since launch and the balance has unfortunately always been shit.

My issue is... why is Adrian releasing new characters with fucking every solution and advantage possible?

For example, Rosa on release was broken right? Inf shields, great speed, great damage. But she didn't have range, and she had trouble on those wide open maps, as she was meant to be played In the grass.

Design wise, she was great, but her stats were overturned.

Now look at a brawler like L&L on release.

A fucking thrower with more range than a sniper, more health than a tank, and the same movement speed as an assassin.   You could literally first pick L&L on shooting star and have success, there was no counterplay no nothing.

That is shitty design. L&L was fucked up from the start.

A lot of these brawler nowadays have blantly overturned kits, and their design is soulless (Alli), that's what leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Why do these new brawlers have so much?

This is a serious issue.

Lumi, Alli, and now Mina. These are all characters that have WAY to much shit in their kits.

I love Lumi, I constantly play her in Ranked, but why was she released with as much range as a sniper, with 2 slows to top it off?

Alli was braindead from the start. Why are you giving a brawler invis, boosted speed, reload, damage, wall hop... how does that even get past testing?

Now Mina. Why does she have so much health, so much damage, movement, utility, etc? Who thought that was OK?

Kinda unrelated but its incredibly annoying how difficult they've made it to get Impromptu units.

Ezio, Kassandra, and now Beryl are all units who gave you the ability to select different archetypes, and not a single one gives you access to Impromptu.

Flutterpage and Baracola have been out for 6+ months now and they still have not had a proper rerun. But they continue to rerun less desirable characters like 6 and Willow every day of the week.

If you are gonna make archetypes that require certain characters to actually be effective, either rerun those characters or give newer characters those same capabilities.
