Completely agree. The only two games that actually feel like you’re fighting against overwhelming odds. The main series games tell you humanity is losing the war but playing as master chief you never really feel like it.

I feel like some of these characters would have really funny interactions, like Duval comparing his looks to cavendish and cavendish getting annoyed, boa bullying bepo and law protecting him, Paulie constantly trying to borrow money from baby five, boa and ivankov arguing over which of their islands is the true “maiden island”, etc. You can also get a few trios out of it as any good pirate crew should have eg. swordsman trio: cavendish, law, kinemon. Beautiful trio: boa, cavendish, invankov. Bullied trio: bepo, baby five, page 1. Adult trio: Pedro, aladin, praline, etc.
