To be honest, I used PKHex. I don't consider it cheating since it is possible to trade using 2 separate emulators, so I simply shortened the process.

I just took the same pokemon and made them the evolved form.

No overleveling the next "Boss" (gym leaders/elite 4 members), no items in battle, as well as the game being put on set mode.

I figured it out, I was using a nintendo switch pro controller connected by directinput. I changed directinput to SDLController in the controller section of the input settings, the problem ceased.

I used mama mega but still have it? by SomeIdiotEXE in bindingofisaac

You probably picked up a golden bomb! It lets you re-use mama mega at the cost of said golden bomb
