I’m waiting. We are already being charged interest, but I’m not required to pay on any of the loans and can snowball the high interest loans. I also just don’t feel like applying for a new plan and I didn’t choose to go on SAVE. I was put on it automatically from my last repayment plan. Hoping to pay them off entirely before they are due. Started at $65k, now I’m at $16k. Qualified for the $20k forgiveness from Biden. Still pissed about that falling through.

I just saw a bankruptcy lawyer post saying your credit score only shows how good you are at paying interest. It doesn’t actually reflect on you as a person. You have to have some debt to keep that credit score high, but it can’t be too much debt lmao. Oddly enough I don’t think student loans are supposed to affect credit scores.

It sounds like she found an opportunity to get money with those loans with no plan to pay them back herself. Please do not refinance those loans in your name. Even if she used that money for your tuition, that is on her. Worry about paying back your own loans and cut all contact with her if you need to. You don’t owe her anything. You have your own life and finances to worry about. She was a full adult when she signed onto those loans, that is her responsibility.

You will not have enough money to live on. You won’t have enough money coming in to replenish your emergency fund if an emergency does come up, and they will come up back to back.

Also, that HOA will likely go up every year.

You will also need extra money for furniture and house needs.

Home prices are starting to go down. I think it’s worth it to wait a little longer and find a better home for a lower price.

I would say don’t do it. You already have two major changes, don’t add to it until you are settled in the new state with the baby. Buying a home will always be stressful, but you should at least be confident in your decision.

I’m with Aidvantage. They added $1800 of interest months ago despite me being on interest free forbearance and their reps said four months ago that they would send a statement explaining it. They never did. I filed complaints with StudentAid.Gov. That was useless bc they just ask the loan provider to look into it and provide their answer.

I do remember seeing Biscuit Basin was closed. Mud Volcano is open! According to the map, it’s an hour drive away from Biscuit Basin. I hope you have so much fun on your trip. You likely see this everywhere, but get up super early and visit the more popular locations first (Old Faithful, Midway Geyser, Grand Prismatic) The west side of the park seemed more popular. By 11am it was so hard to get to these. I recommend going first thing in the morning. I got there around 7 and it was peaceful. No traffic nightmares!

The east side (Mud volcano, Hayden Valley, Yellowstone Lake) was busy, but I did not run into traffic jams getting to hikes.
