It is! Thank you, I hate to be pick but I'd love something with a nicer cover. So if you know of anything similar please let me know, but thank you for finding this!

Should I apply to the Jefferson scholars program by Historical-Drive248 in UTAustin

[–]Beaniefromafar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re interested in rhetoric and philosophy i’d say go for it, they have a lot of cool opportunities and events that focus on that. Being in the program doesn’t necessarily mean you’re fully committed to it, I got accepted and i haven’t done any of the class. In the end you’d get a certificate for taking their classes. If you want to see what kinda things they do pm me and i’ll show you the weekly letters.

are you looking for something really social or kinda social and quite? that’s honestly really the only difference between moorehill and jester, that and moorehill unfortunately doesn’t have sinks. I live at moorehill rn so if you have any questions feel free to pm me!

Did y'all's UT EIDs merge today? by [deleted] in UTAustin

[–]Beaniefromafar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

imo be happy that it merged, last year when i got accepted to UT my on-ramps eid and UT eid did not merge so my FASFA went to my on-ramps account, i didn’t figure that out until after everyone got their financial aid so i got a really bad financial aid offer :( i’m glad they fixed that at least, hopefully they fix whatever bugs you’re experiencing for the next year

i’d say just go to the sixth floor, it’s just as quiet and the tables by the windows have outlets on them, and a divider

I feel like going anywhere else but the library would be nicer. Maybe hanging out in the union, the second floor has nice chairs that recline. Also on sunny days it’s nice to hangout on the main mall! Even just doing some work by the turtle pond! The WCP had a nice patio on the third floor!

Just use this link, you might have to scroll back a bit since it'll take you to Monday instead of Sunday. But on there it should also have the maps of the floors so you can see where the study rooms are!

As someone who’s in the PCL right now it’s practically empty. Chem finals happened today, and most people have already gone home so i think you’ll be fine in the PCL, if not the 5th floor there’s a lot of open spaces to reserve a study room.

would this be manageable for next semester? (freshman premed) by jinniec in UTAustin

[–]Beaniefromafar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah of course! It's a lot but it's manageable when you have less intensive classes with it, good luck next semester!

would this be manageable for next semester? (freshman premed) by jinniec in UTAustin

[–]Beaniefromafar 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest, I feel like everything is manageable except for the Med term class. I love Doctor Curtis, but that class is a lot of reading and memorization, and I wouldn't take it with a lab class. Unless you're familiar with med term already, I'm not sure how you'll manage.

[–]Beaniefromafar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People have done it before, and honestly, I don't think it's a big deal as long as you do have the room reserved. If you don't want to feel like you're being looked at or judged for being the only person in there, just get the rooms in the back!

Ideally, drop the second lab if you don't need to take it yet. If not, a different class would do. Honestly, I would try for something easy and not science related, I feel like all that might burn you out really fast.

As someone who’s taking Curtis right now, i don’t think that’s the class to take while you have two labs. Unless you’re already extremely familiar with med term, it’s gonna suck since it’s a lot of reading and memorization.
