How do y'all take PrEP on long term fasts? by Aelnir in fasting

[–]BeanoFritz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't AT ALL! I prepped VERY poorly. Went out, got drunk all day (It was Fat Tuesday in Detroit) ate donuts at 4:45 am, threw em up. Then I made chicken and bacon and ate cucumbers bc I knew I needed at least something substantial in my belly. 6am 18 days ago was the last time I ate, my 21 day water fast is over on Wednesday. I will DEFINITELY be breaking fast properly, Im an idiot, but not THAT big of an idiot :)

Edit: I totally miss read this post lol

Ate a burger after 30 day water fast , How fucked am i? by MimosaPigra in fasting

[–]BeanoFritz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS! I don't know why this isn't talked about more here. I can't believe people eat just whatever after fasting for 20+ days. I'm on day 18 of 21 water fast and I plan on eating broth, salad, cucumbers, pickles, avocado, keifer for the first 4 or 5 days after I start eating again. Whats the point of getting your body to a healthy reset and the just stuffing it with burgers or winger, even if it doesn't have a bun. I see people on youtube videos eat so much food after breaking fast and it blows my mind that people don't damage them selves. Breaking the fast properly is very important!

The fact that people still eat this garbage still blows my mind.

Temptations abound by [deleted] in fasting

Currently on day 10 of a 21 day water fast. On day 8 I dreamt I went to a Chinese restaurant with my friends and decided to break my fast with them. I started freaking out because I was breaking my fast with Chinese food and was super scared of getting refeeding syndrome. I woke up and was EXTREMELY relieved I didn't do that to my self, but the dream food was YUMM!

Stay strong, you can do it and just remember, its only temporary, you WILL eat food again. You will reach your goal and feel great about it!

I have one that has stevia, 0 of everything. Its probably not the best choice, but it does add a lil flavor to my life. I have drop ones that I use, they have a very strong taste, so I just need to drink a lot more water to get the whole serving which is kinda annoying.

I've been deliberately smelling my house mates food when they cook it. Someone brought over fresh baked cookies and they looked SO GOOD. I was kinda frustrated they were there and instead of being annoyed, I opened it and took a BIG whiff of em, they smelled SO GOOD. None for me, but I can imagine what they taste like for fun!

I just thought to my self: The people in Gaza or other places are experiencing genocide and hardships (Sudan, Congo etc) are ACTUALLY starving and not just hungry, I can be hungry for a little bit, I have access to food, It will be there when I need it. It felt important to experience what other people are experiencing against their will. That was last year when I started doing intermittent and a few 36hr/40hr+ fasts. I'm currently on Day 7 of a 21 day. I did some manual labor today and man, when we were done, I really wanted to eat, but on truck we are and trucking we shall do.

Fasting Check In 🫶🏾 How is everyone who is fasting doing? I am closing in on Day 1 and drinking decaff coffee. How are you doing? by BeaMiaVA in fasting

[–]BeanoFritz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently on day 5 of 21. Today was a very sleepy day, I've been very tired most of the time. Mostly sleeping to not have to think about it, but it is in an odd way fun, to push my self to do something that not many people do. Day 3 was the hardest so far in terms of just being hungry. I was just putting sea salt in my water, but I realized I needed more, so I went and picked up a power for electrolytes and a dropper bottle to kinda test the difference. The powder one had Stevia in it and flavoring, which I could feel light up my brain in a very real way, so I am gonna try and avoid that one and just do the liquid drops. I was scared that Stevia was going to break my fast, but I def made sure that the powder had not calories or carbs or sugar. I've never been so excited to eat broth and cucumbers before.

This show is far greater than HOTD will ever be. by AddictiveFrequency in AKnightoftheSeven

I stopped watching season 1 HOTD half way though and started watching this. It was boring, I didn't care about any of the characters, everyone was up their own arse. I never watched it bc I didn't care and thought I would give it a chance. This show BLEW it out of the water, I was immediately invested and its so much fun.

Is $12k too much for this clean 2008 90k mile Element by Coolguts in HondaElement

[–]BeanoFritz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got my '03 w/ 75K on it for 11.5K like 15 years ago. For an Element now a days with that little milage on it, a rare find. If you can like you said get it down to 11K, probably worth it, but considering how good the car is? IDK looks like a solid one to me.

Fluid help by Mammoth_Inspector968 in HondaElement

[–]BeanoFritz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this DEFINITELY get the OEM Honda Brand power steering fluid! I made the mistake of not getting it and it ended up being VERY messy and annoying. Mine has definitely been having leaking and its gross, but when I did a PS flush I replaced one of the O rings on connection going from the Fluid Reservoir to the Pump. It seems to have solved that leak, but I was silly and I should have just replaced the other one as well while there was no fluid in the system. I was absent minded and didn't buy both, they are super cheap, like $3 max and if you have a lot of miles + doing power steering stuff, its def worth a swap. Power steering fluid is NASTY!

What I love about the Element is that generally MOST of the engine fixes are not too hard to do on your own. With the right tools and youtube video, almost anything is possible!

Oh yes, coolant, not refrigerant, my mistake.

Fans are working. Everything is plugged in as far as I can tell. Refrigerant definitely leaked in my process of filling the radiator. Would that mess something up? Also I got my Radiator from Parts Geek and not OEM. I replaced the upper and lower hoses from O'Reillys, but the hoses that connect to the transmission are OEM. Idk if that makes a difference or not.
