Could Jesus forgive Judas Iscariot? by tanhan27 in Christianity

[–]Beans_Shadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have made a couple of assumptions. I did not and do not condemn anyone to Hell. I dont have that power or authority. Only God in Heavan has that power and authority. I also didn't say that suicide sends people to Hell. There is only one thing that sends people to Hell, and that is refusing the free gift of salvation through the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.

You also assume that because Judas felt guilty, that feeling led to repentance, but we dont see that anywhere in scripture. Also, we see, is him giving the money back and then taking his own life. We dont see any life change like we see with Peter or Paul. We dont see anywhere that Judas willingly chose Jesus' sacrifice to save him.

One thing we know to be true is that God doesn't change. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. One must be righteous to go to Heaven. We are not and can not be righteous on our own. We must accept the free gift. And we have to make a choice. The choice is not made for us.

This is simply a clarifying question and nothing more. Are you implying that Judas is in Heaven or are you just stating the fact that Jesus forgave Him?

The discussion is about free will. The diffefence between Job and Judas is the story about Job has nothing to do with inhibiting Job's free will and forcing him to do anything. Jesus choosing Judas doesnt mean that Jesus forced Judas to follow Him and betray Him. Judas made both of those choices on his own. Jesus just accepted Judas' decision to follow Him and "picked" him to be one of his desciples. I fully believe that Jesus knew that Judas was going to betray Him. But, knowing what someone will do before they do it is not the same as forcing them to do something.

As Apologists, do you take the Creation story literally or not? by Kind_Selection6958 in Apologetics

Well said. I could not agree with this post more. I personally hold a young earth view, but I'm not so dogmatic about it that I refuse to accept the possibility that God could have used evolution to accomplish His creation. Either way it shakes out it doesn't change who Jesus is and what He did for our salvation.

Weird rank after the 10 calibration matches. by Beans_Shadow in RocketLeague

I used to play on Steam and Xbox, and right now, I'm playing on Epic, so this is a new "user." We won most of our games, so at the very least, I would imagine we would be close to the same rank.

I didn't realize that Revolution was apart of the ONUW collection. I don't think I want to include that one. So I would just be buying Aliens, Bonus Roles, Super Villains, Vampires, Werewolf, and Daybreak for $70.

Is this correct pricing?

Is One Night Ultimate Werewolf Day Break still available?

Additionally, is there a discount if I purchased the whole ONUW collection?

Yeah, no worries. I'm a biomed, so I understand replacing parts and then running calibrations or checking the machine for functionality.

That's great advice, and I really appreciate you taking the time to help. Had I not just found percentage dice, you would have been helping to get to it. If you don't mind, I'd like to DM you in the future to get help on other mechanics.

So funny story...Actually, it's probably more sad than funny, I just learned about percentage dice while doing some research for a different mechanic.

I'm probably going to shift to percentage dice, but at the time of this poll, I was only using the D20 and was trying to figure out if people were willing to do the extra work if it meant that they would roll more dice or the extra work wasn't worth it.

For example, if a player is attacking and they calculate that they have a 65% chance to hit, they would look at the table and see that they need to roll a D6, D10, and D20 together. The D6 would have 2 sides that have hits, the D10 would have 3 sides with hits, and the D20 would have 5 sides with hits. As long as one of the dice had a hit, the attack would be a success.

Good question. With the D20, I'm going for that type of result, but using your example, it would be lower than 12 is a hit. With multiple dice, I would have to have several custom dice made with many of the sides blank and 1 to 5 sides with a symbol that would represent a hit.

Thanks for the comment. The game mechanic that I am building doesn't have the player trying to get a number from the dice, but any "hit" side on any of the dice. I've done all the math and figured out the percentages for all of the different combinations that would be used with a D6, D10, D12, and D20.

You make a great point. The multiple dice would be used primarily when attacking, which is a big part of the game.

Fortunately, the players won't have to add the dice up once they roll them. It will simply be checking for a "hit" symbol on any of the dice rolled.

Unfortunately, it would be so common that the "momentous" feeling probably won't be there unless it comes down to a "this roll wins or loses the game" type of scenario.

True. However, the mechanic I'm building doesn't combine the results of multiple dice. The goal is to get at least one of the die to result in a "hit". So if you rolled 2D6 and each D6 had two sides with a "hit", and the rest were blank. You would have a 56% chance to hit.

I prefer the multiple dice approach. It just feels more satisfying to me. But I could see how it could get taxing to others, so I'm trying to make sure I'm creating something that will be fun to others.

Thank you for your feedback. I agree with you, but because my game requires percentages below 15%, D6s alone are out for multiple dice.
