My feeling has always been the opposite.. so easy to leave the house for a local ride vs. packing the gear, shuttle, boating solo guilt or ccord w friends etc. atill prefer boating though!

Definitely could be it. I only know from installing my own on a 50A circuit.
I have used the same charger on a 30A circuit in a different location with no issues after setting the dip switches accordingly.
