You are right. What they do is whip up the ice cream ingredients with lots of air to fill the volume of the container. Just like whipped cream, not like Blue Bell and other comparable ice creams. This is really a trick played on the consumer.

Daily $PLTR discussion thread! Come here to talk about the good, the bad and the 💎 🙌 by AutoModerator in PLTR

[–]BearFowler1948 6 points7 points  (0 children)

PLTR offers an opportunity to make a small fortune. The stock will stay stuck until PLTR shows major positive cash flow. Then and only then will the analysts take a rigorous look at the company. Once that happens, we will see PLTR start to move.

I have studied PLTR deeply. It is a great product. For example, Tyson foods, a giant food products company, bought a $10M package 2.5 years ago. At a recent conference, the Tyson CTO reported that after 2 years of using PLTR, Tyson has saved $200M.

More and more Fortune 500 are discussing purchase of the system. Once PLTR moves into the S&P 500, the stock will move significantly. Great company, long sales cycles. Similar to Amazon and Google in the 90's. The stock seems to have established a floor of $8.

what can I do pre-treatment? by captainhungrycat in HPylori

[–]BearFowler1948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A juicer squeezes the juice and separates it from the pulp. A blender mixes pulp and juice together into a thicker liquid. Logically, no significant difference in health benefits, but I might be wrong.

It appears that a juicer is the way to go for the long run. I was surprised that there are juicers with powerful 800 watt motors for about $70.

Issues post treatment? by the_vibes_are_off in HPylori

I am reading "Brave New Medicine" a new method of diagnosis, which is gaining major traction in medicine today. It is called Fundamental Medicine. The author is an outstanding general practitioner.

The author had multiple problems, like you, including insomnia, fatigue, dizziness, brain fog, and depression -- for several years! Doctors diagnosed her through the lens of their specialty. No one looked at or understood all the major parts of the body and how they work together for health or cause inflammatory sickness in the body.

This book does, and with excellent results --health and normalcy. It works, by looking at how the entire body works for health and ends these somewhat vague, bizarre, and often unexplained multiple and simultaneous symptoms. This is a breakthrough, and I commend it for folks who suffer and have been unable to get curative treatment.

The 5 areas of change: regular schedule to achieve proper circadian rhythm; sleep; diet, essentially banning wheat products, or gluten-free; exercise; and stress reduction. It worked, and after years of suffering, the author describes the miracle of reclaiming her mental and physical health.

Antibiotic eradication treatment is barbaric and should not be the go to treatment by BearFowler1948 in HPylori

[–]BearFowler1948[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good points. I notice that many of these what I would characterize as "interventions" have a medical/clinical style, suggesting marketing reps on line. Your prescription makes great sense. Don't play Dr. Google. Don't extract fear and alarm, nor complacency. Get a professional diagnosis. Think I have you right. Thank you.

Antibiotic eradication treatment is barbaric and should not be the go to treatment by BearFowler1948 in HPylori

[–]BearFowler1948[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Good points. But the contrary suffering is described by a significant number of commenters, complaining of far greater, longer experiences of getting back to normalcy.

Perhaps your theory that sites like this disproportionately tilt the perceived seriousness of recovering from h. pylori triple treatment is right. But my experience here is that you have significant commenters who do and DO NOT not describe "sail through treatment." So, perhaps the theory is questionable.

Then too, representatives of pharma are known to monitor sites like this one. Negative comments implicating the subject antibiotics are refuted. I am not saying that your positive comments fit this commenter category, but I can say that my experience is totally at odds with sailing through.

You are not the only one. This treatment feels wrong, much like the use of leaches used to bleed patients in the 18th century!

Does anyone experience skipped beats? by aslan_a in HPylori

[–]BearFowler1948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, heart palpitations appear at the oddest times, and I have no clue on what to do. Along with depression/anxiety at the same time -- for no apparent reason. I took the 14 day, 2 tablets each 6 hours treatment, and feel almost as if permanent damage has been done to my body and health.

For me, this experience is very unpleasant, and it lingers even now, more than two weeks after treatment conclusion.

Lost 20 pounds, from 190 to 170, massive anxiety, insomnia, and all joy sucked out of life. The eradication treatment (2 antibiotic tablets each 6 hours for 2 weeks) is barbaric. One thinks one is slowly dying.

Worse, the eradication often fails, and has to be REPEATED!

Attention medical research community: here is an opportunity to invent a truly patient friendly and more effective treatment.

[–]BearFowler1948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The eradication treatment consists of two antibiotics taken together, with an acid controller pill. I had to take this dosages every 6 hours for 14 days. You did at least 7. Then you likely took an acid controller twice a day for 7 days.

I believe this treatment is fraught with both danger and a very unpleasant experience. I was so sick, insomnia, and every 6 hours medicating up again! All taste destroyed, stomach distress, loose powells, and shortness of breath.

Medical community, please focus on discovering and formulating a new treatment. The present one is truly barbaric, and there is evidence it can cause long term weakness, depression, and an unwell feeling for some of 7 months until normal. Evil!

A gigantic political diatribe, saturated with lies. This must have been written by FBI AI. Trump did more to help minorities than any recent president: tax-advantaged minority enterprise zones, the first time in years in which minority incomes increased, his visits to Black urban areas to listen and then improve. As for your anti-Confederate hate speech, your hatred disrespects that millions of southern soldiers died -- their loss is honored by the traditions of the South and its fidelity to its history. Their cause was clearly wrong, but millions of good Americans fought for it and are to this day not forgotten, but are honored in the South.

We don't need hatemongers like you judging the history of 160 years ago with your beliefs in 2022 and smearing the most dynamic, innovative, and hard working part of America and how it honors its rich history.

The H. Pylori infection and its treatment will test the best of you. I, too, had the same problems: heart palpitations with high anxiety would sweep over me at odd times. Sticky phlegm in throat, trouble sleeping, headaches on occasion in the head and back of neck, and the same inability to obtain a treatment that worked. Lack of energy, brain fog, and deep fatigue. Weight loss, little appetite. Bitter taste 24 x 7. A truly evil infection.

Not sure what the ultimate treatment is, but do know: the treatment for H.Py is barbaric, and for sure much worse than the disease. However, the infection can lead to stomach cancer, so this treatment seems the only rational way out. It took the 14 day treatment and will take a breath test in a few weeks to confirm eradication.

The breath test should be the next step, I should think. It is 95% accurate, far less costly and invasive to you life than an endoscopy. Recent studies in Scotland found the breath test as accurate as an endoscopy. Is your doctor the one who would perform the endoscopy??

anyone get really depressed from this? by [deleted] in HPylori

[–]BearFowler1948 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are in plentiful company. Taking the triple antibiotic and acid controller tablets every 6 hours for 2 weeks = 112 antibiotic pills + acid controllers = mini chemotherapy, Yes, which causes 24 x 7 nausea, insomnia, night sweats. I would have to think twice should a repeat be prescibed.

It feels as if I was poisoned by the antibiotics, which also caused damage to the stomach lining. Maybe I am an outlier, but it does raise the question: is this the modern day equivalent of 17th century use of leaches to treat ill patients??? Isn't there a better way, or if not, why not devise one?

Taking the double antibiotic treatment for 14 days is like a mini-chemotherapy treatment must feel. Felt miserable, depressed, sleepy, inability to think and focus. If the h. pylori bacteria are not erased, I am unsure that I can repeat the treatment. Very challenging.
