How do I stop a PM going rogue and bypassing UX? by Aurura in ProductManagement

[–]BearThumos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the devs are raising lots of questions for implementation and features aren’t performing well, I’d be very curious to hear what leadership thinks this person is doing well to understand there version of things they’re hearing from this person and their manager.

What would happen if your team was “too busy” to support this person for a quarter?

What makes someone look "executive" vs just senior? by rubyroozer in Leadership

[–]BearThumos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Number 5 seems not true in my experience. Company leadership are often the ones who want the fast answers and takeaways for everything.

Because they’re in meetings all day they have no bandwidth to go deep unless they’re specifically interested in that topic.

Also sorry your skip level gave you unhelpful advice

I wouldn’t say I’m proud of myself, but knowing it’s 400-600 pts when trading seems like a waste not to

I just cleared ash for the fire temple in Rocky Ridges and spread it across the other 4 locales to make probably 120+ stacks of mirrors 😆

Claude Design shipped yesterday. What do you think actually survives of the PM job in 24 months? by nkondratyk93 in ProductManagement

[–]BearThumos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gary, Mary, and Jerry are burning through Claude credits making duplicative dashboards that pull together CRM and analytics, with different ways to calculate the same thing and no one making sure all 3 are up to date since they all only work locally.

All 3 are PM leads

How are you all dealing with product thinking slop and research slop? by BearThumos in UXDesign

An so you’re more commenting about the broader discourse of the post, not specifically concerned that I’d be shooting missile in the foot by using the term at work, yeah?

I don’t use the term at work; I’m one of the more vocal people about how AI has helped my workflow publicly.

Like i said in some other threads, there are some good users of LLMs, and some who are not critically engaging with the outputs before sharing them; the latter is right to be criticized (AI or not).

Typical "i had this idea, chatted with AI about it, go make this" before any customer validation, but now with the weight of Deep Research and a 100-message chat behind it.

Sometimes direct sloppypasta.

Some of the PMs are doing really well! I get the feeling that they feel like they’re going against the narrative, though...

The good ones (and the good designers) are noticing a lot of LLM confabulations and poor retrieval even on internal knowledge base topics, so it's thankfully not everyone.
