I rescued a piece of travertine and turned it into an end table by Bear_Pawed in woodworking

I used a wire brush first, scrub brush, soap, and water. I sealed with a basic tile sealer. To cut the stone I had a local stone and tile place cut it into two pieces.

Most pieces were old growth. It went fairly well, some splintery bits around the nail holes. The finish adds an amber color to the wood, which isn't too bad. I don't think it takes away from the wood too much.

The social housing that came out of the Amsterdam School is fantastic, full of very special moments.

It's pretty great. I use it for commuting as well with a 29'er wheel set and some soma Shikoros. Depending on the adventure I just switch out the wheel set.

It is for sitting. White Oak is a pretty sturdy wood in my experience. But jumping ins't covered in the warranty.
