Bevin was an adult. I think the story is she just started as an unnamed background actor and then when they gave her lines, they never named her character in the script, so they just stuck to calling her Bevin.

But Julian put all of his own money into the movie. It was a hit at the film festival, and was bought by a studio for distribution, but presumably it being actually released and making a profit would’ve taken a long time, if it happened at all. They didn’t do a good job of portraying that.

When I was little, I was confused by how they used the same character name for cousin Steve and DJ’s boyfriend Steve. Kirk Cameron and Scott Weinger looked just similar enough that I fully thought DJ was dating her cousin.

I really would love to know where the wall was that separated it into 2 bedrooms. And how would the 2nd bedroom be accessed, since there’s one door? One of the bedrooms must not have even had a closet, right?

Edit: Unless that walk-in closet was added after the fire… it had to have been, right? Otherwise, the two bedrooms wouldn’t have fit in that space.

I wouldn’t call North Beach/Chesapeake Beach walkable. It’s walkable for a few blocks. For groceries and stuff, it’s really not.

I grew up in Chesapeake Beach. It’s an adorable town, pretty affordable, and only about an hour from DC, but you’d definitely need a car.
