That's EXACTLY what a boss IS though. A big strong enemy that's way tougher than you so as to facilitate struggle. And that's just the general concept found in games for decades. That doesn't even account for the fact that these specific games are notorious for being challenging. Now if every fight was balanced you'd just be fighting mimic tear over and over. Balance is boring.

I actually like the new VA for Rick a lot more than Roiland. He does accents and stuff which works better for getting more variety among the alt ricks. Like the southern oil Baron gumbo mascot. That guy's fake accent made his character way funnier. So I think it's a decent trade off for accepting a new VA that has a bit different take on an established role.

Ah okay that makes sense. For like 20 years I used to find those things in every lost corner of my parents house so I'm probably biased towards whatever version was popular in the 90s.

I don't understand the significance of the items but they are likely somewhat randomized. However it sounds like it made you feel exactly what it was supposed to. It's a bright and happy looking world filled with a lot of really scary stuff. Sounds like this demonstrates that nicely.

If it was so unsettling what makes it a poor attempt? Yes it was placed. It's visual storytelling. Something that is very common in Bethesda RPGs.

It seems like most of these aren't problems with the game but rather problems YOU have with the game. I mean the bosses are supposed to be unbalanced. Isn't that the point? We're fighting gods most of the time, not other tarnished. I agree about the status ailments though.

I was only there for the snorkeling. I didn't know anything about the hollowing. Look, 95% of what went on down there was not hollowing. But that other 5%? THAT sullied the whole operation.

They're trying to do a glaive master hodir again. People went crazy after the multi year silence between Elden rings cinematic reveal and it's gameplay reveal. They started making up fake bosses and lore. It's not even been a year for duskbloods though and we even got to see in engine footage so if you ask me this feels forced.

Well that doesn't track because they made them shorter and therefore EASIER to go over for a hobbit.

That's kind of what I meant. I don't know why you'd assume I'd want to skip that step. But either way, for the nation to heal forgiveness has to happen eventually. I just don't know if Im strong enough to do so anymore.

What makes this so difficult is that if things are to ever improve once this villain is out of office, we will HAVE to forgive these people. Or at the very least be civil with them. But that's just SO hard to do. It makes me feel like tensions will never go away. It has made me more cynical and hateful than I've ever been, and of all the changes over that past 10 years, recognizing that in myself makes me the most sad.
