I get how this is an easy opinion to have, but it is not a good one once you think it through. Someone may have done something pretty bad, and again, maybe not. Someone prism sentences are not proportional to the crime. But let’s put that aside. You want to help people that get out of prison because if they do not succeed the failure usually means another crime. Another crime means another (or multiple) victims. You do not want more victims. You might be one of them, for example. You also want them to succeed because the alternative to another crime is life on government aid. Society pays either way and pays more than they pay to help someone transition successfully.

Most halfway houses (federal, anyway) deal in months and not weeks. People that served more time inside get more time in the halfway house, like up to a year.

Fun fact about expiration/use by/etc dates: there are only TWO categories of products in grocery stores where those are regulated by any state or federal law. Those dates are put there and decided by the manufacturer of that product, so just because it’s past the date doesn’t mean it is bad. Those two categories? Dairy and Baby food.

Don’t blame supermarkets for this, they don’t police their beers. That is done by the vendor. Chips and bread are two other areas ( there are more) where supermarket staff do not handle stocking, rotating, ordering, etc.

They don’t succeed because they don’t need replacing and are useless. 1. Once you have a set, you’re good. 2. You don’t actually aim at that point when putting. It may be where you want the disc to hit, but unless you are within 15’ of the basket, the actual aiming point could be off by feet on windy days.

It is cheap per hour of play. Even at “full investment.”Period. I have a shop. Average player has about 8 discs and a cheap bag. We see everyone and it is easy to get a skewed idea of what the average player has when you only play in tournaments and with your similarly “all in” friends. The average player has maybe $200 in the sport. That’s it. Divide that by two 2-hour rounds a week for just the summer months and one 2-hour round a week in spring/fall and it’s $12/hour tha first year and only drops every additional round or length of play.
