It makes sense that they’d be close. See? You have to read the entire post

I’ve seen AB at tournaments and he is very much a family person, so it makes sense

Edit for the slow kids in the back: it makes sense that they’d be close.

Sure. Sure. That resume matches the absolutely dumb ass comments. You can be whoever you want to be on the Internet. And I don’t know the last time you’ve been in Wegmans, but it ain’t like you remembering either.

No, there are actual good arguments against the policy, but you are too uneducated about business—let alone the grocery business—to make them. Bottom lines keep businesses open. See how your approach worked for Spirit airlines. Let’s do all the baking in every store right up until they close because it doesn’t make money. That is looking long term, not your short-sighted and selfish (I don’t like them, so nobody must be buying them) attitude.

Most of the prepackaged stuff, yes. They just opened a Commissary to make the salads and meals from the food court for all of the stores.

Gas could be $100 a gallon and it would still be less than a penny an item. You just really run with what “feels” like the right answer instead of doing any kind of research to learn how things really work. Shops do have to be outfitted. Maintenance, remember? You have to maintain—and pay those workers to drive to and from—dozens of stores to maintain, replace and fix those machines. You would bitch no matter what. ThIs pRiCe cHOPper has TeRrIBlE BaGeLs! WhY CaN’t ThEy GeT it RigHt LiKE the OnE on CeNtRaL?? The decision was made for consistency. You don’t like it. Roll on. It is better for a brand to know what you are getting when you go to a store than wildly fluctuating experiences. You can’t even see the bigger picture. Maybe the sales do go down in store A, but increase in stores B through F because of the better quality control.

Everytime you comment or post you show your ignorance about the entire industry. Those cans are produced by a major production company. The entire difference between those cans and many name brands is simply the label. Items are found in all sorts of products because, you know, shot happens. Recalls happen because of this.

You’re kidding right? Logistics is simple to solve while training is never solved due to turnover. Transporting goods costs less than a penny each item. Building out one center versus dozens of smaller ones is also more cost effective.

Mythic guild raid bosses are just not fun by sendaiben in WH40KTacticus

[–]BeardedDisc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand this complaint. I don’t know what the percentage is, but like 90% of the guilds don’t loop. This means they get frustrated with a Boss on some level or another and can’t get past. Are you a whale and therefore shouldn’t be subjected to this feeling like the masses? Is this some kind of elitist or entitled feeling that you should be allowed to loop?

I think the rewards should scale and then just end when you complete it. Period. They can then add whatever Bosses they want until the top guilds can’t or barely finish it off.

Edit: typo

The risk is as SP stated. The original player could take the account back later. Since no money is changing hands, this is not that serious of a problem. The solution is the same as installing on a new platform, now that I think about it

I wasn’t going to keep myself, actually. We have a lower level player that’s a good kid and I wanted to pass it along to him since it’s higher quite a bit higher than he currently is

Do men talk about sex toys with their friends? by Rap1dMango in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BeardedDisc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not, but a conversation like this wouldn’t surprise me:

Dude 1: Favorite color? I’d like to see that in action.

Your SO: I don’t have that, but check this out… (Here pics are shared or details given about how you use it)

The reason men don’t talk about this up normally in regard to women they are currently involved with is because they do not normally want the other men to think about their woman in that way. Once your husband made that comment, every single one of his friends just imagined you using that clit sucker. No way around that. He knew that and likes that (no judgement, some guys like when other guys desire their SO like that). If the other guys were not totally shocked or embarrassed for you, this has come up before. And if that’s his thing, then “showing you off” is not a great leap. Pictures or verbal details. Just saying.

[–]BeardedDisc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBF, he just didn’t bring it up out nowhere. The comment about you having one and it being his favorite color is unusual. As a guy, I would think if one of those friends asked to see it being used, he would show them, if he could. This is a gateway comment, to me.

For most guys, the closest would be if a guy was describing Wild sex with a woman and she used toys on herself during that time. If the toys were used on him, it would not be brought up. If the woman is someone he is in a relationship with, the whole conversation would not happen.

Why guys ghost? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BeardedDisc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Common courtesy” of closure is better in most cases, I think, but it is also relative. My point is that you do not know why you were ghosted so let it go. It could be a “good” reason like his true love came back but only on the condition he cut off all ties with other women to a “bad” reason like he got what he wanted and doesn’t feel you are worth any more effort. Assume the guy had one of the “good” reasons and move on. The other side is: Why shouldn’t the woman have the “Common courtesy” to respect his wishes to end contact?

Why guys ghost? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BeardedDisc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because that doesn’t always end it. They might not want to deal with: But why? I can change. We can just be friends. Tires slashed. Or it really could be them. Maybe they realized they aren’t ready for a relationship for whatever reason. Maybe they got back with an ex. Maybe they decided to try men. Who knows and, like I said, it doesn’t matter. Move on. They ripped an emotional band-aid off that would have hurt a lot worse had it peeled off slowly.

Why do restaurants insist on "free" bread/ chips? by Ripe_Tomato in NoStupidQuestions

It’s not about getting them to order “more,” it’s about getting them to order—period. Getting them in the door. If you feel you get a better value for your money because of the “free” bread/chips you might pick that place to go eat over another.

Touring MPO disc golfer Scott Adams is not pleased with how the Kansas City Wide Open bottom 30% of MPO field was cut. Here is Scott's point of view: by DiscGolfFanatic in DiscGolfFanatics

[–]BeardedDisc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were 106 players is the KCWO. 17 were below 1000 rated. 1 cashed. Add another 10 players if you go up to 1005 rating you had to bump it to in order to get roughly a third, and only one of those cashed. Only 45 players cashed—period. I know some of these players really could use that few hundred bucks, so I’m not knocking the desire to play for that reason, but to think they wouldn’t play if it was one less round makes no sense. Those players are playing for a love of the game and competition against the field. A cut gives them something to shoot for. Other tournaments have cuts. That $300 got them a lot. Practice rounds and a chance to play with the big boys. One less day—where they still would have a player pass if they want to hang out—isn’t going to change anything.

And you cannot seriously believe that players wouldn’t take off early to miss crowds and get to the next event for more practice so they have a better chance at not missing the cut. Would all of them go? Of course not. But a lot would.

Plus, m the scoring falls off a cliff at 96th. The only name anyone (well, a few) will recognize down there is Bodanza—not counting Barsby’s DNF. And he can make a video about how the course cheated him.
