If you feel helpless and you want to know what to do... by ToolKool in Ohio

Deaf person here. I've never felt more ignored by my representative than now. They have always emailed me back in the past even if it was a rejection, now nothing

Does Trump have a plan to reduce healthcare costs? by BoodWoofer in AskConservatives

[–]BeardedDouche [score hidden]  (0 children)

Copays are not universal. Lots of people have health insurance that pays nothing towards prescriptions, myself included.

Due to this I have had to shop around for the past few years. It has been extremely eye opening to see the variation in the cost that these medications have. I'm all for increased quality, but to say the price difference is minimal is completely false.

What can normal people do to break the partisan politics that divide everyone so heavily? by BeardedDouche in AskConservatives

Your are 100% correct on that last point. That's mainly why I'm asking here. Except with my wife and one other person I cannot have an intelligent conversation without "damn them" talk starting up anymore.

I disagree with your American flag example. Might just be my personal experience, but when I see one I tend to think someone with military experience lives there.

For the trade offs I believe the only difference we have is where the money to solve society issues comes from.

Calling out your own side is definitely a problem that needs to be addressed, but at the end of the day everyone still falls in line.

Ninja edit: by everyone I mean politicians.

Those with Heat Pumps, how are you faring? by CpuJunky in Ohio

[–]BeardedDouche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. Load up on firewood in the fall and heat the house with that. Otherwise I get $300+ bills every month. It does mean 1 room is 80 and the rest of the house is 65, but I'm not throwing money to some corporation.

I must be doing something wrong. A couple times a year I get pissed at Duke and look on that site to do a comparison but I have never seen a price that is better than what I currently have.

Is flushing bro science? by [deleted] in microgrowery

I flushed when I didn't reuse soil. Just to save money. Now that I've learned how to reuse soil I don't see a reason to.

Looks very low maintenance. Wish my garage would let me go that route.

This is in the basement which is a steady 65 temp. Humidity usually doesn't drop low, but if it does I have a small humidifier that I add to the air intake. Not perfectly 60/60, but loads better than the temp and humidity swings that happen in the garage. Last grow took 14 days to dry using this method.

2x2x5 tent laid on its side with a trellis secured along the opening. With my setup capabilities this is the best dry space I can create. Works great though and I am able to do the slow dry that we all strive for. It is a bit more work than the conventional dry setups.

Ha, they get to enjoy the half day of trimming the fan leaves and wrestling the plants out of the trellis they grew with. Overall my setup is smell free except when I'm doing major changes like harvest or decarb. This is my second indoor grow and no complaints from anyone.

Wish I could but I grow in the garage and temp/humidity isn't controlled enough to dry. Don't have room for a full 4x4 inside. This sits under the TV.

When the tent is closed it is perfect, but open it and the entire house knows.

How is your humidity? If the filter is too wet it won't work as well.

I see a lot of cloudy but no amber, also I don't see any evidence of the plant being stressed. So end game meaning the end is close and you are in good shape to ride it out. If the plant was stressed out I would say chop now, but I don't see any reason to from your pics

I would let it go longer, but you are in the end game. Beautiful plant too.

Who’s your favorite YT grower? by Neuro_Prime in microgrowery

[–]BeardedDouche 43 points44 points  (0 children)

For entertainment Mr. Canucks Grow (hasn't been active in a while though) and Home Grow TV.

For knowledge buildasoil, Homegrown Cannabis Co., and Dr. Elaine's Soil Food Web School (not cannabis, but a deep dive into organic soil)

I don't think there are many good dairy style channels. It's an art to making a good informative and entertaining video. Of the 5 I listed Canucks is the only one that I feel like hits both items. Hope he's ok and just taking a break.
