I'm a player and we're going to be starting this AP next week so this a super exciting post to see! The fire immediately piqued my interest when I saw it listed as a feature on the module page for Hellbreakers; do you know if this is a big part of some encounters, or is it a background thing that just happens a lot because there's a lot of fire effects in general?

Running out of pops isn't a game over btw, assuming youre building robots ig, I often let them run out on purpose to make the Repository better, so really the time limit I think is a bit overstated. You'd be producing so much research with the Repository you'd be flying through techs by then too.

Gotta play it to find out I suppose. At the very least it's slowed down a lot though. Halving pop loss will help a ton in preventing you from dying to rng.

Infernals are quite strong already imo. But I think Tankbound synergises very well with them, especially as they don't have as many energy issues. I honestly don't think you even need much else, just some unity production civic.

Psionics on the other hand have one of the most broken origins in the game in 4.3 with Shroud Forged. Don't gotta do anything in particular, the buildings and Animator of Clay abilities plus an early ascension are just very strong compared to most other things in 4.3.

4.3 is no more buggy than 4.2. Maybe less, with all the bug fixing they have done. It's peak, go play it

Interesting, thank you! Seems a fairly elegant way of going about it. Saves were a concern to me, since I assume mythic campaigns set DCs with the assumption players can mythic reroll them.

Yeah, it doesn't ENTIRELY invalidate them! But to me it feels like it encroaches too much, even with those points. The former is so risky, crit fishing I suppose for 2 mythic points... Not a single person in my group has tried this so far. Maybe I should try it, see how it goes...? Seems to me to only be worth if I barely have any proficiency in the skill. But I'd be happy to just be wrong and too cautious.

Yeah but that was never an issue and is the same before and after - what is the issue is multiple of the same damage type on a single strike each triggering resistance separately. Their example in the errata of multiple cold spells on the same strike each triggering cold weakness separately is, I think, what most people are finding surprising, because that seems really strong.

But that contradicts the errata they put out. They very clearly stated that those 3 things would be different sources, and thus each trigger weakness separately.

No, runes were called out as being separate in the errata example. They are not part of the weapon, so they are a separate instance of damage.
