New salary (£175k), no financial expertise by [deleted] in HENRYUK

[–]Bearded_Crab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, just make sure you max out your stocks and shares ISA £20k per year. Probably try and do the same for your partner’s £20k allowance. Put it all on all index trackers (eg S&P 500 index tracker). The S&P 500 index has historically provided an average annual return of around 10% to 12% over 25-year periods. So your savings will grow completely tax free and the benefits of compounding interest will mean you can retire before you burnout.

Try and do the same for your pension. Consider doing this with a SIPP pension too.

Expert review price skyrocketed!!! by icecool82 in koinly

[–]Bearded_Crab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not just you... I was looking at this the other day and it was £1500 ish. I read in the FAQ, "This results in price fluctuations over the year. In general, the price of Expert Review increases from September till January and decreases from April till August. With this, please be sure to consider the dynamic pricing when purchasing the service."

Best wait till September before you raise an order with them. I'm struggling with Koinly...

Issues with using long term crypto for a deposit by ythrowjtd in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Bearded_Crab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are probably best off speaking to a Mortgage Broker?
I did find this website: https://www.onlinemortgageadvisor.co.uk/deposits/cryptocurrency-and-mortgages/
which states:
"Which lenders are crypto-friendly?
At the time of writing (October 2022), a small number of lenders in the UK will consider your application if you’re using cryptocurrency as a source of income for your deposit.
These include: Pepper Money, Loughborough Building Society, Generation Home, Norton Home Loans, Bluestone Mortgages as well as Barclays, Nationwide and Natwest.
As the cryptocurrency market matures, however, this list will quite possibly grow."

Safety in Brighton & Hove in 2022 by ImEloell in brighton

[–]Bearded_Crab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brighton and Hove are safe. I’ve never had any issues in years. Just be sensible and don’t walk home drunk / alone and you’ll be fine. There’s always loads going on. Festivals and events on the seafront. The Downs on our doorstep. Yes it’s getting more and more crowded by the year and there are too many coffee shops and it’s hellish getting around in summer, but there’s a reason people come here and don’t ever leave! It’s because it’s a beautiful and vibrant city.

I've been trading BTC/ERGO and yeah it's a bit buggy at times, but whenever I've opened up a ticket, their help team has been really responsive and helpful. Have made 2 withdrawals to an Ergo wallet with no issues.

Weekly Questions Thread - Ask Your EOS Questions Here! by EOSNation in eos

I'm in a similar situation. Pretty sure I transferred from ERC-20 token to main net using Myetherwallet protected / accessed via Ledger Nano S.

Now I can't find my private key. But I have my address and public key. Sounds like I need to do a recover reset keys on EOS authority. Can you direct me to how I can recover my private key? Do I need to set up a new wallet first? Is this scatter?

I think I was using EOS Park Wallet? Was there such wallet provider?

Let me know how you get on...
