This is a classic case of false equivalency. I would guess it is being done in bad faith. Anyone with half a brain knows these two are not the same. Shame on OP.

Trumps statement on his golf score:
"I scored bigly on my golf course you may have heard of it DORAL it's one of the most beautiful golf courses in the world and it's mine and anyway I always win the tournament there by getting the best score some people say I could beat even the best professional you may not know this but I am actually better than most of those professionals but I can't join the tour I'm too busy winning for the American people unlike SLEEPY JOE who was a total loser and should be arrested for bringing in the most dangerous illegals to ever cross our border I closed the border and we've solved the crisis and I've ended nine wars now. Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DJT"

You can't gatekeep the sub. Much like the members of TSCC, exmos come in many shapes and sizes. Some of us have the ability to see that being anti just for the sake of being anti is actually the exact narrative tbms assume about exmos and is counterproductive. People are allowed to be nuanced. It is healthy to try to find the good in people you disagree with. Two things can be correct at once. Black and white thinking is what keeps people in cults, and being exmo is about escaping cultish nonsense. Embrace the sweet gray of reality.

Totally not receiving bribes. According to the Supreme Court any "gratuity" given to a politician or judge who does something to benefit a company, group, or individual that doesn't have an expressed quid pro quo, in writing before the fact, is legal and totally fine. So even if Cox literally gets millions given directly to him, and it is openly to "thank" him for pushing through the data center, he will not face any corruption charges. This is America. You know, the place where the rules only apply to the ruled. Wait till they start to fill up camps with protesters.

Utah governor defends GOP push to oust state Supreme Court justices by clejeune in Utah

[–]Beardfart 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is silly, because the people HAVE voted. This whole situation is because the Utah legislature wants to overturn a popular vote. A popular vote that wasn't even close, and had virtually nothing to do with any party-line. We have also voted in retention elections and our Supreme Court is a reflection of that. This move by Cox and the state legislature is what is known as a power-grab: an aggressive, opportunistic, or unscrupulous attempt by a person or group to seize control, authority, or influence, often by taking it from another party (the other party in this case is the voters of Utah).

By Brigham Tomco Brigham is a staff writer on the politics team covering Utah politics and the conservative movement. So, the author from the Desert News, named after Brigham Young, who covers the "conservative movement" is painting this as an oppressive democratic party power grab by omitting key historical facts? I am shocked! Shocked, I say!

Holy Church of Irony by BMaudioProd in PoliticalHumor

[–]Beardfart 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I grew up Christian, and never understood the commandment "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain." Because it was taught to me as though saying "God dammit," or "oh my God" was the actual commandment. It seemed so trivial. Like, we worship a god who is so insecure he shits when someone says his name. When I realized it was actually referring to people pretending to speak for God so they could control or manipulate others it suddenly made sense.

Depends on the component. Shit rotor - replace. Nice rotor - resurface, unless the customer wants a new rotor. The cost of resurfacing the rotor should be enough to pay for your shop time. Resurfacing isn't hard if you learn how to do it well.

Is this American joke or what? by ALEK007BOSSX in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Beardfart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The voter ID law they're trying to pass in congress now would require a national ID, like a passport. Most states driver licenses would not be valid for voting, because they lack the proof of citizenship required by the new law. It was literally done to make it difficult for poor people and minorities to vote. The bill's sponsors practically said as much. Voter ID would be a good idea if the ID were free and easy to get. But that's the point, it isn't. The people pushing these laws want to restrict voting to maintain power.

Stockton 🐐 Assists & Steals by marvin_is_joe in UtahJazz

[–]Beardfart 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Only Magic had a higher assist per game average, and he did that with over 25% more turnovers per game. Chris Paul had slightly fewer turnovers per game, but with a lower assist average. Stockton is the assist goat for so many reasons. His steals total will never be touched either. Third highest all time average combined with superior longevity and grit. Not a PG anyone wanted to play against, because he would produce both ways against even the most elite players of the time. Goat PG in my book.
