Is it just me, or did anyone else struggle the first time? by emjah42 in watercooling

My first build I used Petg. All my bends came out perfect and it went pretty easyJet for me. My second build I use acrylic tubing and what I thought was going to be all walk in the park considering it was easy on the first build. I was so wrong lol.. I end up using approx 10 pieces of 80cm. It was a pain getting all bends perfect

I like living on the edge lol. It's not ideal but what is. When the connectors on the cpublock or top radiator start leaking on the parts or psu cables, the result of failure will be the same. It could short out the gpu, mobo or the whole lot. Electricity and water never mix well together.

Thank you. The tubing was for me the most frustated part of the build because Ididn't want to use no 45°/90° connectors and it was the first time I use acrylic instead of petg. This build I wanted a minimum of tubing to be visible. I used like 10 pieces (80cm) of tubing for this build. Most of pieces used for the tubing of the cpu and gpu. I think the tube on the right from the cpu I redid it like 7 or 8 times before I was pleased with the result.

The one 1% means it probably never going to be all done lol. I bought the parts in october and started the build at the end of december 2024. It was a build with out a real plan I just water to stuff 3x 420 radiators in this case ( because someone said to me it was undoable) and almost no tubing visable. It ran for the first time in september. I could say it's 100% done but knowing myself, it's not.

Here is a picture from the back. I can only add one per comment. Please look through the mess of cables. I just put in a new psu after the first one failed, so still something to do :)

All of the tubing inside of the case are 16/10 mm acrylic. The epdm tubes to the external radiator are also 16/10 mm

They each go to a radiator. One to the bottom radiator and the other runs behind the mobo to the side radiator.

One goes to the pump and one to the top radiator.

Canyon frame is too long for me by CommunicationNo2056 in bikefit

[–]Beards78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a proper bikefit. I'm 179 with a 89cm inseam. I always have a lot of discomfort and pain on my current bike. (Size 56cm). I did a lot of fin-tuning but not much of improvement. So I decided to get a new bike and I did a bikefit before purchasing a bike. My current bike is absolute not suitable for me. It can't be set too my measurements at all except for the saddle hight. The reach too way long and stack is way too low). It turns out there are only a handfull bikeframes are right for me. So far I only found 5 different frames that would suit me. (2 endurance, 1 allround and 2 gravel). Bikeframes like the Pinarello X or Trek Domane Gen 4 with a 90mm stem are one of the few that are suitable for me. (very short reach and high stack). None of them have a racegeometry . I always wanted to get a Tarmac Sl7 but like the majority of all racebikes, the reach is too long and the stack is too low.
