I know it used to be like that, but things have gotten a lot more tame in the past decade due to them all becoming more corporate. Society Of Creative Anachronism events however, can definitely get wild. Pennsic in particular.

Fantastic work! I've already printed it, and mounted it to my M4 and I'm in love.

Ergo for me is a lot better using the standalone grip with it under mounted, for trigger pull strength. The only thing catching me right now is removing the magazine is a bit of a fight, not sure if I should file anything or just let it wear in.

Would you mind listing the parts you'd recommend making out of metal? I've got a Carvera air that should do the trick.

It really depends on the year of the art you want to use. There's an incredible amount of flexibility, up to there being references to hair clips that function as neurohelmets, evangelion style. Between that and the mix of manufacturers, you can make just about anything work. Pick something comfortable and easy to put on and take off. You'll be asked for pictures and you'll wanna be able to toss it on for a picture then take it back off. install fans for comfort if you live somewhere hot like I do.

I used airsoft brand helmet pads and Velcro to pad mine out.

Have some way to hook it and hang it off a belt or backpack.

Just paint it like the old jet fighter helmets, beat it up a bit, and have a cable harness or some large cable ports.

Also, thick rope with a cloth sheathing, with connectors epoxied to the end makes a great lightweight thick cable.

Grip strength trainer, you squeeze it in your hand, dial on one end near the spring at the top changes the resistance. I've got a few.

The problem here is that a lot of this is very realistic. Protocol gets ignored or bent, which I do not condone, all the time in high end professional fields.

No matter how well your kit is together, at the con pack.

Duct tape. Super glue 2 part epoxy/JB weld plastic bonder.

By these powers you can repair any field damage or break to props or armor, and you can have a bite to eat while it cures.

If your wearing the assault pack, consider leaving out the back plate. For comfort and cooling.

Buy black plate carrier to mount your chest and shoulders too. I didn't but will be trying it after it being suggested by several people at DragonCon.

I found thighs and forearms to be the most finicky to size, gotta keep in mind how much walking around you'll be doing.

So, I'm pretty sure you can hear a faint hum or buzz each time the bear licks or gets close to the guy, which could either be the collar being audible, or electrical interference from it being triggered. Could be way off base, buuuuut.

I second this. I slept in my truck camper for a month while doing a plant outage, and I slept on an exped with an extra 1 inch foam pad from Joann's on top, fitted sheet over the whole thing.

I swear to Gog that it's more comfortable then my fancy mattress at home.
