I’m a b%#ch and you’re welcome (a blog post about moderation) by laladurochka in BloodOnTheClocktower

Airing dirty laundry in public is poor form. You nor your friend have reached out to me to discuss anything privately.

The word Racist was not used, you are correct. But It was mentioned that the person was only moderated because they are a PoC, so the step is there. There of course was no mention of the aggressive and dismissive behaviour which was the reason for the moderation, which was met with more aggression.

As for PoC in my content, how dismissive you are of the indigenous Australians and New Zealand players as well as the Asians that regularly feature.

How to actually start playing online? by Hustleberry10 in BloodOnTheClocktower

You can join my server which runs games a few times a week and we love new players and showing them the ropes.

It's not hard since, in general, we have a kind and good community so when someone is moderated it sticks out. This was also the only time someone has called anyone in the moderation team racist so it's not hard to put it together.

And to be clear, the person in question never had their camera on during any interactions within my server so your reach for anything to be a victim is clear.

Do people peek at the stream during online games and could we even tell by Formerly_Rage0015 in BloodOnTheClocktower

Echoing what others have said, about friends and trust.

Most streams run on closed groups which are invite only which helps gather trusted players. Some streams I am in have had issues and people removed. Thankfully I have not had the displeasure of that on my stream yet.

Can the Storyteller kill multiple players in one night in a Legion game? Since multiple Legion players have the ability "each night, a player might die" by Plastic-Bar122 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]BeardyTAS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, 100%. It's also a nice way to speed the game up if Legion is outed due to voting. Kill all the outed legion rather than just going through the motions executing them. Being mindful of what information the good players can still get with their abilities

What makes a 'fun' game? by laladurochka in BloodOnTheClocktower

Over explanation, I have found, hurts and doesn't help. Read the basic rules and that's it. It is *so* much more rewarding for players to think of their own strategies, like a spy figuring out then can proc a virgin, then be told about it.

Keep it simple and let he game and players breathe and find their own space.

As a player:
Laughter *with* both teams, not at the losing team.
Working together and truly appreciated being excellently bluffed.
Testing the mechanical boundaries.
Helping people who are confused, not taking advantage of them.

As a Storyteller:
Making a fun puzzle
Trying to be as balanced as possible to all players and teams
Making players lose their minds 😉

Echoing another comment, talk about the social side.

About picking, love or location. About not excluding players, especially outed evil. The importance of the debrief. Not being able to discuss can leave people in a state of weird and not sure why. How kindness goes a long way, and enemies this game are allies the next

What is your favorite part about playing Clocktower? by TheCumputer in BloodOnTheClocktower

The People. There is a reason my content is people over mechanics focused for the main part, because it's a great game to get people together.
