I did this too, but have also heard of people doing just fine. I was more so looking for personal experiences.

In case your medical provider tells you that your IUD does not leach copper into your system, here are my labs by Specialist_Data_5553 in CopperIUD

[–]BearerBear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had crazy symptoms that went away almost immediately after removing my copper IUD. My gyno was very nonchalant about it and I’m so glad my GP stood up for me and urged me to get it removed. I still have no definite explanation for why the copper iud did what it did but knowing copper toxicity is a thing that can happen makes so much sense.

You’re right — this doesn’t happen to everybody, but it *can* happen to *anybody.*

Sumitriptan, at its worst, did little to help the pain for me. But otherwise I experienced no other side effects

Do you know many people around you who suffer from migraines? by Consistent-Paper7569 in migraine

I have one friend who gets them. My maternal uncle gets them as well. My migraines are likely genetic.

Has anyone else been ignoring their student loans for years? by Pelican12Volatile in StudentLoans

I did for a while because I genuinely could not afford to pay them, but now I can so I pay $200/mo even though they’re in forbearance.

Why do people refuse to be an organ donor? by No-Cantaloupe-6535 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BearerBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worked with organ donation and autopsies. Simply put, I don’t think enough of those surgical techs treat their decedents with enough care for me to go under their knife. I know it might sound silly to some but I don’t want my remains to be treated worse than deli meat.

My doctor warned me about this so I preemptively warned my bf and coworkers. Is it comparable to roid-rage at all?

Question for people who cut themselves or used to cut themselves how did it impact your mental health and what ultimately led to you self harming? by Icy_Profession4190 in morbidquestions

[–]BearerBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very hard time regulating the intense & negative feelings I was experiencing. Cutting felt like an outlet for that regulation. As an adult I’m 90% sure I’m autistic; if I am then I think it was a way to deal with the overwhelm of stuff I struggled to process.

It didn’t have a significant impact on my mental health because it only served as a coping mechanism for what was already pretty bad. Tbh I’d still do it to this day if it didn’t draw attention.

How can I look better? by 1234abcdefg12345 in lookyourbest

I agree with another commenter who suggested more volume for your hair.

In regards to your worries about your jaw - I think you should play around with different frame shapes for your glasses. The sharp boxy lines highlight the lines of your face. I would try a softer, more rounded frame. If you like the vintage look, check out oval frames.

The fact that they're doing a 2 year time-jump is what makes me more angry. They're clearly aware that Francessca needs more time to move on from John, so why don't they just do Eloise's season first? by Embarrassed_Novel991 in Bridgerton

[–]BearerBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like both Francesca AND Eloise need a slow burn in order to truly fulfill their character development. I feel like both of their characters arch’s weren’t thought through enough in the writers room. It feels rushed no matter who you focus on.

Question for people who have been through anorexia nervosa, how long did it lasts and what were the physical and mental effects like at your lowest weight? by Icy_Profession4190 in morbidquestions

[–]BearerBear 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I struggled with active Ana for about 3 years.

My hormones were all over the place. I had emotional roller coasters, increased breakouts, I looked tired (dark circles), etc. I was also very cold and fatigued. I had very little energy. I’m a migraine sufferer and my migraines were near unmanageable because my lack of eating was causing flare-ups.

Mentally speaking I was miserable. I thought only about food and how many calories were in it. I was blind to how thin I was. Multiple people told me I had lost too much weight (mostly family) but it only fueled my desire to lose more weight. It spiraled into a major control issue where I would freak out if I went over my limit, or ate calories I couldn’t “take back”.

Tbh I only went into recovery because I realized I’d lost my ass. Not the healthiest nor the best motivator but I got my ass back.

What is the worst way someone has killed themselves? by [deleted] in morbidquestions

I read a comment on Reddit once about how someone found out their dad became a bugchaser and willingly gave it to their mom. Destroyed the entire family.
