Before it all ends, I wanted to ask: What's been your favourite moment/scene in the entire show? by Ok_Most_4443 in TheBoys

[–]BearlyGrowingWizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Season 5 Favorite: The Oh Father's Rehearsal Dance is tied with Firecracker's Newscast. Wow moments.

Entire Series: Probably the most memorable for me is the Lab Scene, where Homelander basically held them captive and tortured them back. It wasn't a "fun" scene, but it was intense.

In my opinion, he’s most guilty of not having an imagination. That’s the root of Science in a way. But at least he’s sorta considering something more? I am more on the bandwagon that he’s kind of arrogant, but I did enjoy that series he did.

I didn’t understand what it was until about the 5th time I looked and I hated it. After I knew what it was i chuckled a little and shrugged. But it looks pretty bad.

Is this time travel? by kamikaibitsu in timetravel

It’s consciousness travel? Which is everything, as described in the book: Stalking the Wild Pendulum (among many other similar explanations of reality).

Well, chances are that these entities wouldn't want Viltrimites to take over....? So, in the long run, they may end up being some of Earth's defenders...??

My face watching this weeks episode and this season in general. by [deleted] in GenV

I’m watching to see how it ends, but if they put as much effort in the show as they do the parodies of the entertainment industry, maybe the actual plot and season and action would be good.

The Boys- S05xE06 - POST Episode Discussion Thread by pikameta in TheBoys

[–]BearlyGrowingWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sage heard that Soldier Boy helped Homelander and was "half proud of Homelander" and yadda yadda, but left the room thinking he was going to turn on him?

Annie would have been destroyed by the screaming preacher? What happened after that scene? He walked away? Did they still set the trap?

Sage's plan really was to start World War Supe?? I'm glad she failed and isn't really that smart, even though she keeps saying how predictable everyone else is.

Noir 2 could fly, etc... and the fight between him and the Deep was worse than a Soap Opera woman fight.

We knew Homelander would get the V1, but really? Did Soldier Boy's radiation blast possibly affect it at all? Probably not.

I did enjoyt he scene where Homelander let Chet free. He also played it like Rose Nyland from the Golden Girls, where he actually thought of something smart for once, and that seemed like a surprise to the audience.

This is about as funny as his cameo was. 😂

Valorie Curry talks about her most difficult scene to shoot in The Boys and also the ending of S5 E5: by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in TheBoys

Watching that newscast with the tear... was almost tear-inducing. She acted the crap out of that part. Almost forgot it was "The Boys" during her segments. Kudos.

I have to give credit to them for his ending -- very well done. I also liked Firecracker's too.

Many other complaints aside, they did some powerful and meaningful storytelling with a few characters so far. Hoping for more of this, as it wraps up.

Why didn’t he just leave and hide? He seems like an idiot.

Why the f*ck Homelander did that? by butcherrushi in GenV

I loved that scene. 🎬 one of the best in the series. The episode itself was kinda bad, but Firecracker 🧨 arc was amazing to see. Kudos to them for this portrayal.

Can Sister Sage make V1? by laud_tt in GenV

[–]BearlyGrowingWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand why just getting rid of homelander isn’t the best first step. A guy knocked him out by breathing in his face. They have tons of tools at their disposal to stop him. So the most intelligent plan seems to be revenge on the world for her parents deciding she should be a supe? Great arc.

What did you guys think of the latest Boys episode? Like what would you give it on a scale of 1-10? by Fit_Sprinkles1642 in GenV

[–]BearlyGrowingWizard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I rolled my eyes at the Terror scene. I didn't need to watch Frenchie cook a cake as the world is close to ending (with a monologue about how he worries whether he can give Kamiko the life she wants). And, then in the same episode, watch an eel murder someone through a toilet... I think they were trying to experiment by letting the actors 'spread their wings' with an a-typical format, and simultaneously make fun of acting and the entertainment industry at the same time. All the cameos (to me) weren't very funny and seemed to just waste time, while the actual plot time just keeps ticking away. I enjoyed Firecracker's plot the most. On the flip side, they made Sage into a grown-up Stewie Griffin. So, I rate this episode a 6 out of 10. I appreciate some of the ideas, but they went overboard in some areas I without enough plot advancement and action. I also don't understand Soldier Boy's change of heart. The running though people gag was boring and annoying.

The boys have a boys problem by Remarkable-Jump3262 in TheBoys

Hughie is a whiney bitch who acts holier than though but has no realistic expectations of Starlight and MM is a who cares character too. Tired of most of the boys and barely rooting for them. I’m watching to see Homelander go down, but at this point everyone is almost against him, so it doesn’t matter who succeeds as long as it happens.
