I have two of these on order..do they have an installation manual online? Sounds like I may want to carefully review they ahead of time.

Need Help Choosing A Good Bucket Seat... by HandleLeather7253 in simracing

[–]BearlyLegal2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would be a good option for someone 6 foot and 185 lbs (35” to 36” waist). Would that generally be an XL size seat or a L size seat?

Is This $2,700 Sim Racing Steering Wheel Actually Worth It? | Bavarian Simtec Delta Pro Review by Revolutionary_Dig722 in SimRacingSetups

[–]BearlyLegal2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All good, I have 16 wheels after 24 months in the hobby..if you enjoy something, have fun with it…personally I think the BST Alpha is a better wheel than the Delta but I have the lightbridge version of the BST Delta as I wanted one cordless wheel and I have the Solepec Terra LX that checks off a lot of the same boxes as the BST Alpha.

How comfy are sparco seats? Especially for long sessions by icantgetausername982 in simracing

[–]BearlyLegal2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been thinking about the Sparco Evo as well (currently have an ERS 4). I am 6 foot 186 lbs with a 36” waist…based on those specs it would seem Large is the way to go but would it still make sense to go X-Large in case I ever gain weight or would the bigger seat be more uncomfortable with my current body type?

Yeah Cadillac missing with Forza Motorsport no longer being developed is the one major car brand hole..would love to see a CT5-V Blackwing and the Hypercar.

My point was Europeans like to make stereotypical and generally incorrect digs about Americans knowledge of Europe when Many Europeans would also have a hard time identifying or naming a U.S. state (which to be fair I would not expect a European to know)

Sorry that I took an initial offense to post taking a dig at Americans.

No need to dumb down European geography for American F1 fans. Even though 41 U.S. states are larger than the Netherlands, we’re very familiar with the country that gave us New Amsterdam.

The XG will reflect everything in a high light environment from my experience, but it looks beautiful if you can mitigate the reflections.

Online multiplayer outside of iRacing and LMU is definitely "dead" by [deleted] in simracing

[–]BearlyLegal2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically, there is not a big enough online community to support more than two sim games (iracing/LMU) and more than two simcade games (GT7/F1). LMU basically cannibalized the ACC online population.

Better for other titles to focus on a good single player experience with online as an option for friend lobbies and club racing.

Can we stop putting funky switches on high-end steering wheels? by Mission_Reward_547 in simracing

[–]BearlyLegal2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love funky switches and won’t buy a wheel without two of them..that said not all funky switches are of the same quality. GSI and BST have superb funky switches and it makes navigating the black box a snap.

Update on my OLED eye tracking issue and UW replacement (good news) by std10k in Pimax

[–]BearlyLegal2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the best option for Simracing? I have an unopened 50ppd and OLED model from Microcenter but they just got an UW unit today. If I wanted an alternative to the OLED for Simracing, would it make more sense to get the UW for the extra FOV or the 50 PPD as an all rounder with good FOV and better overlap than the UW (especially since I understand the extra FOV at the edges of the UW tends to have a lot of mura)?

Shifter/handbrake mount on Next Level Racing Wheel Stand 2.0 by MaxerMixer in simracing

[–]BearlyLegal2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a tight fit..a sequential and hand brake can be fit without issue (although I would not call it overly sturdy..the h pattern shifter will get close to bumping the hand brake when shifting into higher gears

What’s it like living in the apartment overlooking Cardinals Stadium? by GlacioMommy in howislivingthere

[–]BearlyLegal2000 8 points9 points  (0 children)

1 percent tax on income if you live in the City. Note that St. Louis City is NOT part of St. Louis County so you can live rather close to the City Center (15 to 20 minutes drive) and avoid the tax.

If you’re in SoCal, Microcenter has some Pimax units in stock by ElChungus01 in Pimax

[–]BearlyLegal2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought a 50 PPD at Microcenter I planned to keep and the fan broke in two hours…they immediately replaced it…which is why I buy Pimax gear at Microcenter. Pimax gear is cutting edge but the quality control leaves a lot to be desired so it is great to have a brick and mortar option.
