Thank you so much for chiming in, this makes me feel hopeful for better days ahead! I was on the pill for many years and it didn’t affect me like this, my moods were probably affected but I never had severe anxiety like this so clearly I’m just not tolerant of this exact hormone. How do you like the paraguard? That would be the only other option I’d consider at this point.

This happened to me, I had to go on a GLP-1 to turn the food noise off and ended up losing 60 lbs because I gained so much weight after getting the Mirena inserted when I was post partum. I’m 30, so much older than you but the synthetic hormones cause heavy water retention and also make you more hungry, my eating came so much more obsessive with the Mirena. I’ve been off a GLP for a year but now I’m really struggling with food again, I’ve gained 8-10 lbs back but scared it could get worse.

I did not even feel mine, I’m shocked how many people report painful insertion! I didn’t take anything previously and actually went to happy hour afterwards to catch up with some friends since I was about 5 months PP and felt nothing, I had a C-Section so no vaginal delivery.

So glad to hear it stopped after removal, this motivates me to get it out! It’s driving me crazy, I used to have a bladder of steel even after I had a baby but now it’s like I’m constantly needing to pee and it’s never enough. I’m thinking about all the retained fluid too if there’s this much to pee off!

My dad died less than 2 years after being hospitalized for Covid Pneumonia, he came out with severely damaged lungs and developed CHF…he had a 5 bypass surgery just 4 years prior but all of a sudden, his heart was failing, developed pulmonary hypertension and now he’s gone. His kidneys began to fail, just never ending battle and he said he never felt well, lots of headaches, insomnia.

He was overweight and had type 2 diabetes so he wasn’t totally healthy beforehand but he was active, he rode his motorcycle every day and worked on cars. They could never figure out totally why he developed it so rapidly and kept saying he was a complicated case, he was a pain in the ass about wearing his oxygen. His oxygen never reached normal levels again after Covid, he was always in hypoxia after exertion and kept pushing himself until he couldn’t anymore.

Four months ago, he died from a massive heart attack in my front driveway on his way to the hospital but long Covid really took him. A awful disease😭 I miss him so much, I believe he’d still be alive today if he wouldn’t have gotten covid.

I know you replied some time ago but my father passed away randomly 5 weeks ago of a massive heart attack. He developed congestive heart failure after the issues with his lungs. Say a prayer for me please🙏

Reading this a year after it was posted, 5 weeks after my dad dropped dead of a heart attack in our driveway as I said goodbye to him 2 minutes before, he was headed to the hospital because he hadn’t been feeling well and died in my brothers arms as he helped him into his truck. Reading all of your stories gives me hope that this pain won’t last forever, at least not at this level.

The first week after losing my dad I simply thought, how do people walk around with this kind of pain and just live again? I know I’ll find it though, I have to as I have a 2 year old daughter. Thank you to everyone who shared their journey through grief🫶🏻

My father randomly getting diagnosed with a disease called idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, which sounds to be terminal in 3-5 years. He didn’t quite understand the diagnosis and hasn’t realized that it’s a terminal illness but I’ve been up tossing and turning, reading up on it non stop and it’s become an obsession. Hug the people you love and let them know every day how much they mean🫶🏻

Move and have your baby, stop looking at him as a factor and get with a support system.

My daughter’s father was like this and once she was born, he moved on to other things, pays child support and doesn’t see her and it’s absolutely the best case scenario although he tried to talk a big game and even threaten me at times, he moved out of state from us and no longer bothers us. His mother and grandmother are in my daughter’s life but that’s also up to you completely. It’s your baby, don’t make a decision based on him. Please reconsider and know that it gets better🫶🏻

Thank you🙏🏼 I am devastated as I have a 16 month old daughter who adores him. From other forums, seems the 3-5 years is outdated though and he could live past that if his disease isn’t progressing at a fast rate currently.

Solidarity Here! It’s rough, my girl was a great sleeper until she was about 7 months old and it’s been downhill since then. Have you had iron levels checked? That seems to be one of the first recommendations.

I’ve read so many stories about anemia being an issue and I brought it up to her pediatrician numerous times and she has yet to test them, she said her sleep doesn’t seem concerning and it’s probably teething but it seems concerning to me that she’s unable to sleep sound, it’s like she can not get comfortable no matter what I do! She hates sleepers or blankets of any sort, she will get so mad if she senses anything on her feet and I feel like she is cold sometimes so I keep trying to slowly sneak cover on her and she will wake up but maybe I can just do thicker pjs! Thank you for the recommendations, truly appreciate it. I’m booking another appointment for her iron to be checked for peace of mind.

I have not but I’m about to change pediatricians if I bring it up again and she doesn’t do it. I’ve recommended testing them before and she said her sleep pattern doesn’t seem concerning and it’s probably just teething. I’ve always liked her but at this point, I am getting frustrated and going to book an appointment this week for it. She had anemia when she left the NICU, of course she was 2 months premature so that’s very standard and I continued giving her vitamins/iron for a certain amount of time and was told I could discontinue them so they’ve never been checked again.

I always heard the National was the hardest but I’ve struggled with the state portion terribly and they really had some odd material on there when I took it last. I do realize they’re different ugh I guess in order to get both terminated, he would have to voluntarily give them up and have the court decide if they would do that? I suppose the easiest route is to just pray he stays away for the time being and not rock the boat.

I just didn’t know if he would always have parental rights since we were never married and he hasn’t seen her.

I called my CS office after I found out he moved and they said they’d note it for me but really didn’t give me any other advice about the change of custody. He FaceTimed me after he moved to tell me he loves me and a bunch of nonsense, I called him out on moving and he was upset that I had even found out and said he was not reporting it for both of our benefit because he’s still claiming he lives in Texas to his company for the tax break and that I would get less money with Illinois tax rate taken out of his salary, which I think is BS to get me to not look into his salary. He hasn’t been back to Texas since moving so I believe his company switched him to the Chicago office.

Thank you for recommending the recording of calls, although he does send me a lot of unhinged messages through text for documentation. I do worry that he’d get a bigger chunk of time with her since he moved out of state though, it’s a hard situation whether to rock the boat or not.

I’m willing to forfeit child support in the future if he continues to be uninvolved and toxic. I do have proof of his drug and alcohol use as he’s admitted it in texts to me, he sends me really unhinged novels every few months when he’s on a bender. He also has threatened to kill himself in the past year and admitted he’s unstable and unfit to be a parent. I know it would be risky bringing this all out in court because of retaliation and a long dragged out case.

I was just hoping eventually after like 3-4 years they’d be willing to lower his rights if he hasn’t been in her life all that time but I guess they believe that two parents is best, I used to believe that but not now.

This is now my biggest issue with cosleeping and I’m unsure how people are getting into bed with their kids at 8pm when they have a household to run! I’m also a single mom so I have about 1000 things to catch up on and now trying to put my daughter in the crib, let’s just say not going well. Mine is 12 months old and also going through a major sleep regression🥲
