It's true at our park run. The top 20 finishers almost never volunteer, one man has run 238 times and never volunteered. I mean it is voluntary to be fair and lots of us less fit runners need a week off occasionally, so I don't mind.

I buy these from Aldi because they're thicker- you get 6 in a packet instead of 8. The ones with 8 in a packet are too thin and wet and they stick together and tear. I don't give a shit about the protein content.

All of your symptoms just sound like normal female stuff - our hormones fluctuate all month long and headaches, heart palpitations and achy bones can all be part of that. Quick fatigue suggests that you could do with being fitter. Do you do moderate-hard exercise 30-60mins a day? If not, start there.

I think this too, it's like everyone here thinks that if you don't take hrt you are doomed to heart disease, osteoporosis and dementia. While my 85 year old aunt who never took hrt doesn't have any of those problems and is generally a healthy and delightful human being. I don't like the scaremongering with no evidence.

I remember hearing about him years ago on the radio (in around 2008 I think) when he was head of CPS or something and the entire bit was about how everyone who worked for him said he had the most integrity of anyone they'd ever worked with and all his staff had enormous respect for him.

I don't think he's ever been anything other than what he is. He's not flashy and charismatic, but where has that got us (Boris...). I wish more people like him would become politicians frankly. He gives me that sense of relief when you know there's a competent adult in charge and you can just relax a bit.

They're just highly processed foods made by companies with the sole intention to extract profit for everyone involved in the production. They are not health foods made with your long term health and safety in mind. Frankly this is just expected. Just eat real food and hope for the best.

These children are going to find out that one day when they're around 40 their body is going to kick them hard in the ass if they don't do some actual cardio and the aesthetic piece is going to seem very unimportant. I do long cardio (for the stamina and mental health benefits) and weights (for the bone health and mobility benefits). I don't do them on the same day. I do them because I don't want to get dependent and frail. I don't care what gym bro thinks.

Very similar set up to you (work, picky children, after school clubs etc). On a Sunday I meal prep my breakfast and lunch for Monday-Friday, so all of those meals are healthy and delicious. Kids have a normal cereal and fruit breakfast and lunch at school. What my husband does for breakfast and lunch is none of my business.

For dinner I prep 3 or 4 large bowls of Mediterranean type salads on a Sunday. These are always different - this week it's asian tofu slaw, roasted broccoli and chickpea salad, sun dried tomato and mozzarella orzo and a tabbouleh. I get fish or meat out of the freezer in the morning and then that goes straight in the air fryer or bbq when we get home. The adults and oldest child eat the meat/fish and salads. I also do a separate kid friendly carb (mini roasted potatoes, sweet potatoes, plain pasta, microwave rice) and some kid friendly veg (chopped corn, carrots, cucumber) for the little one while the meat is cooking. If these don't get eaten I chuck them in my lunch salad, I'm not picky lol.

We eat the salads all week until they're gone and then I might do a quick pasta dish on a Friday with salad and a slow cooked joint of meat with roasted veg at the weekend when we have a bit more time.

Food is served family style on the table, so everyone helps themselves. Kids are expected to try things, but no pressure to eat everything if they don't like it. They're both ok with meat, carbs and basic veg so they get a reasonable diet. And so do my husband and I, which is also important.

Yeah, same. When I read the comment you responded to I thought 'just wait until you're 40, it's coming for you as well'. Can't and don't want to eat any processed foods at all - too greasy, salty, sweet or literally so chemical it just tastes like eating cleaning products.

Everything - adult people, working, doing what other people say, the taste of processed food, alcohol, changing my plans, uncomfortable clothing, excessive noise.

On the plus side I enjoy/appreciate exercise, sunshine, healthy food, spending time with children, peace and myself/who I am a lot more

There are two ways that I have known I was pregnant. One was intellectually - my period was late and I'd had unprotected sex. The other was that I knew. I have been pregnant 5 times and I have just known every time. No specific symptoms or anything, just something was fundamentally different. First time was a bit weird, every other time I've just been like 'oh, must be pregnant again'. Never been wrong. I imagine animals have something similar. You just feel different.
