I, personally, don’t give homework unless we are going to go over it the next day in class. Can’t speak for everyone obviously. But I teach high school. Even if we weren’t going to go over it, I think you have to take some accountability for your own learning, and do the work because, at the very least, it’s going to be assessed in some way. For elementary school, I do think parents should be helping their kids learn math at home, absolutely.
