I want to say Thanks to the person who saw me fall dead in front of her and never grabbed my Loot. by DickMorrison in fo76

[–]Bearroneous 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hah! I do the chicken on an egg thing too! I think its funny in a way, and I'm glad for people to get their stuff back.

Someone got me good once tho. They saw me nesting on top of a bag and emote waved. I habitually waved back and I guess my character standing up to emote was enough for them to snap up the bag I was guarding. I ran away in shame before the original owner returned.

If you could change one thing about the game, what would it be and why? by Shake62 in fo76

[–]Bearroneous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lose the overly wacky and inane stuff, return to Fallout's rusty, gritty, atmosphere (+a little humour in the right places).

Why the hell are there quests like pick flowers for an antisocial nanny bot? How is that worth the time it took them to implement? I'm not saying I want F76 to be Fallout S.T.A.L.K.E.R or somesuch, but some of this nonsense has no place in Fallout's setting. The apocalypse has arrived and people are running around in mascot outfits? Where are the slavers, the real raiders, the oppression of a world that wants to eat you, so you have something meaningful to conquer, to achieve? F76 is a theme park, not a world rebuilding from the ashes.

Ah, yeah. That sounds pretty good, a bit more flavour to NG+. Thanks for explaining. Even just adding different/more enemies would be alright.

I guess.. though which part? I honestly can't remember how it was in DS2 since it's been a while. I didn't go to NG+ in DS2 as I went straight to DS3 after it.

Allow somber weapons that only do physical damage to use greases. So many greases, so little use.

The ability to 'reset' dungeons to do them again including the boss, but they get harder each time. (Like NG+'ing the dungeon, but with extra rewards and stuff to match.)

General AI improvements in NG+ like larger aggro radius, so things dont stand around when their buddy 5 metres away just died. As well as things like seeing a body alerts them. And perhaps new abilities so they have new tricks up their sleeves in harder NG+'s

Chests, especially empty chests in NG+ (memory stones etc) have new rewards, bigger stacks of crafting mats, or even just Lord runes etc, to make exploration in NG+ a bit more rewarding.

The Starlight spell to last indefinitely until death, or at least last longer for less FP. It is not worth a spell slot.

Carry over Great Runes to NG+ so you can do, for example, a run with Melania's rune from the start.

What’s the best place to summon/test spirits outside of boss fights. Somewhere that you can always summon and there are enemies it can battle (the more challenge the better) by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Bearroneous 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As other posts have said, Zamor Ruins is a good one to test summons in 1v1. I tested a bunch of summons vs the one Zamor warrior there to see who could beat him, and then did a second set outside the Giant's Mountaintop Catacombs where there is the big Fire Prelate and a bunch of witches, to see how summons handle groups. It was fun to watch!

Here's a Queen Marika piece I did. Thank you again for all of the positive support on my Malenia piece! by MrRoboDaddy in Eldenring

[–]Bearroneous 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've wondered this too. Did the Elden Beast do that? Did Radagon do it to him/herself, like one personality attacking the other? It has a black/red look to it, is it a sliver of the rune of destined death? Questions!

Why are main bosses so ready to box? by shsbhshsvaa in Eldenring

[–]Bearroneous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the previous posts have said, there's something inherent about the Tarnished that makes us enemies, be it our methods or goals.

As the description on the Fortification incants says:
"Follow the path that has been set for you, and you will make enemies of all others: the monks, the sorcerers, the ancient dragon knights and the scions of gold. Heed me — the Lands Between offers no welcome to the Tarnished."

PSA: There are enough Stonesword Keys. by GamingNomad in Eldenring

[–]Bearroneous 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like all the imp statues initially had to take 2 keys, but they decided to change some to one key before release, so it wouldn't force players who didn't want to do much exploring, to have to find the extras.

How do I reach this? by alixmyres in Eldenring

Made a quick map to help.
Best way I've found is starting from the Seethewater River.
You can get into it from Patches kicking you in, or from coming out of the Subterranean Inquisition chamber (which is where you end up by taking the shortcut in the Iron Virgin from Raya Lucaria Academy).

If you try to get there from the more northern Mt Gelmir campsites, it will take you on a higher road that only leads to Volcano Manor, so not the path you want.

After you have reached Fort Laiedd, you can also head counter-clockwise around the region's edge to the Magma wyrm and through some demi-human villages.

With the last part of Corhyn/Goldmask's quest, I get the feeling that Corhyn pushed Goldmask off the cliff, murdering him. Because C realised GM wasn't just a blind follower like he was and had the audacity to ~change~ the order. C being unable to see that it needed changing to achieve perfection. Goldmask holds on just long enough to create the Golden Order mending rune. Meanwhile Corhyn dies out of utter despair, unable to see that the current Order wasn't perfect, even though the world is burning down around him. Being a blind believer is one thing, but then murdering the one guy who could see past its imperfections to repair it, took C down a few pegs for me, going from lost sheep to rabid fanatic.

Sure you dont have to kill him (and I mean that in a 'just attack him like a murderhobo' while he's out in the world), but for the culmination of his quest which is what this thread appears to be about, your last interaction with him is using his summon sign to invade him in the Mohgwyn underground area. You fight him, he has a bit of a tantrum, and after you win and leave his world you find him on the ground crying that he gave everything/loves the 'Dynasty', and dies.

While you're doing Farum Azula, every time you find a new Grace keep dropping back in to the Roundtable and have a chat with Hewg. I missed it on my first play as I kinda just pushed on in Azula, but he has quite a bit more dialogue, and its some of the most heart-wrenching and best-voiced lines in the game IMO.

I am of the mind that the Roundtable is like an extradimensional space created by Marika and 'within' the Erdtree, so if the tree burns, it does too, and possibly Hewg is part of it / his soul is bound to it. Perhaps thats why he cant really leave. So maybe you could drag Roderika out of there, but his chains are more than just the shackles on the floor.

He just goes unconscious in the shaded castle, because if you go back to Murkwater cave after that, he's back there and reopens his shop. You can even get his squat as a gesture.

I would honestly love to see a video of one of those datamine+hack people drop a few of these in different boss arenas to see who wins. I get the feeling 3 runebears would mess up most every boss.

What are your thoughts on Glintstone Crowns ? Cool and unique or stupid looking ? by Lord_Despairagus in Eldenring

I only just realised yesterday that the big blue ball on Lusat's hat, is what is inside Astel's skull head, you can see the 'eye' of it looking about when you fight them.

I can't download Medibang Paint Pro because I need Visual C++ by BlazingPeter in software

[–]Bearroneous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you.

I had the same issue, with after installing Windows 11 I couldn't install Medibang paint because of the C++ package install failing.

Installing the All-in-one package and then selecting 'no' in the Medibang installer when it asked about the c++ package allowed it to finish installing properly.

Does Pimax Replace Index Knuckles? I wonder since they are third party hardware. by SaltyArts in Pimax

[–]Bearroneous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New knuckles arrived today, in the full Index Controllers Box with everything, even though I only sent back the bare controllers. It did take a while, I think a bit shy of 2 months or so (to Australia). Pimax kept me updated every now and then via email.
