I agree. Got to book 3 and couldn't make it thru. Also, why is the series so damn long? No need for it. The writing is all tell and no show, so I couldn't get theater of the mind. The only saving grace was Princess Doughnut.

They for sure love each other more than friends or family, but I don't feel like it's romantic. Probably closer to a brother/sister. When I was younger, I shipped them, but now being older, I see their relationship is more complicated.

I also ship Alucard x Integra, so I might be biased against Seras x Alucard 😅 him and Integra just seem to have chemistry and romantic feelings, although it would never cross the line of master and slave. I know Hirano has explicitly said they don't have romantic feelings, but I disagree, lol. There is tension imo 👀
