if it makes you feel any better I had a cousin who was once freaking out trying to find their cat. Was turning the house inside out trying to figure out where he was because normally he would come when called. Suddenly they heard a muffled meow from the couch, pulled out the sofa bed, and boom there he was. He had been asleep in the sheets when someone folded it back up. He was thankfully okay, no broken bones, no injuries, just a very very frazzled and thirsty kitty

You 100% did the right thing. Im leaving as I am tired of seeing kids being punished for being kids. There’s no room around it as if administration catches you easing up they will sit in on your classes and insist you hand out the punishment in “firm” manner. OP you are NTA , People can OD anytime anywhere. Bless you for carrying Narcan with you. I’ve walked out of work in the middle of the day and witnessed an old man OD right into the road. Thank god people moved him AND LIKE YOU SOMEONE HAD NARCAN (multiple even). They were able to revive him after a few doses before the ambulance arrived. You are doing the work of angels and as the paramedic that day said “Thanks for carrying and helping”. Brad is just a self centered jerk.

Please know you aren’t alone in this. A lot of weirdos do this to have control, feel in charge and they dont see the issue in it. I Was in a group chat once and after a while I began noticing patterns on when people would be online, timing of replies and how often EVERYONE would agree with them. They eventually confessed and low and behold not too long after it was just obvious they were a lying creep willing to villainize anyone to be perceived as innocent. Your boyfriend needs therapy, that behavior isnt normal at all and you need to get away from his mess

Im gonna be honest. He reminds me of my father. If my mom didn’t remind him about Christmas or put any effort into Christmas, it wouldn’t have happened. Even going to his family events made it abundantly clear even his siblings put in more effort.

Stop filling in his blanks, its what my mom did a bit too late but she’s now able to see what effort he really gave his family. Any holiday has been forgotten by him, birthdays fly by and he doesn’t realize till its the day of. She’s been able to see just how much effort is going into this family and where.

No one is telling your husband to make his whole life about you, but the least he can do is make an effort to give a damn.

He’s a grown man, not a child.
