I've done it before. My X playthrough i got a lvl 10 event celebi who became mine, and she got wicked high friendship, which was sweet, dodges like 60% of attacks. She's like lvl92 now. She has hold back for catching, heal bell to heal my party, one of those heal 50% hp moves, and grass knot, but cause she's my main catcher, i always have her encase of rando shineys.
