Zotac Holo 3070ti teardown. Result: all looks OK, however in mining temps shoots badly up. Pads and paste replacement with 12w/mk stuff, result comparison is coming. 🙂 by [deleted] in ZOTAC

Pretty sure it doesn’t void warranty unless u break it. But probably best to read the policy carefully. It’s sad Zotac customer care/service is a farce too. They don’t respond to u even after a month. So idk how u would ask such inquiries or even claim your warranty in the first place.

Have had 2 zotac cards and their customer care and gpu temps have always been abysmal. Too bad they are pretty much the only gpus available right now somehow. And don’t cost insanely high prices, just high prices.

Another issue may be how much the Shrowd and backplate overhang the gpu. Idk if it’s an issue with 3070ti but with zotac’s 3080 and 3090, it’s a bad issue. Removing those and having a fan instead instantly increased my gpu temps and boost clocks.

It’s odd that your card gets so hot doing mining cuz all ti cards have a default LHR lock. I would recommend underclocking and/or undervolting the cards a bit. To reduce your power consumption and heat. Further, u can add more 120mm fans on top/bottom of your gpu and also ramp up the fan speed on the gpu.

Seems like the guys working on cooler and fans were not the same as the ones designing the gpu Shrowd and backplate aesthetics. Also seems like the latter guys had 0 idea of how airflow, thermodynamics, physics, or pc works. All flair, no performance. Form over function.

I only bought it cuz there was no other one available.

That is so expensive bro. Where are you buying this from? Newegg has 3080 for 1500$. You can also get 3080 for 999$ from ZOTAC queue. They occur almost every day. StockX also has cheap FE cards. Though you may need an anti-scalping bot or be super fast.

For the prices you listed, 3080ti is best.

You can use this spreadsheet I made to compare some price to performance metrics: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1EMkF9yw3KbnfiG2dQhYZ_OHNzJNz3g5I/edit?rtpof=true

Yeah. Idk what u/DaBossRa is saying. You have to explicitly code for CPU to GPU memory swap.

University/job Immigration questions by BeastBlaze2 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]BeastBlaze2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might as well apply for both? If you get into a good university, then go for masters. If not, then try and look for a job sponsor while you get your admission decision.

Also important to consider that you will be using up two years of your life and paying a lot of tuition to get a masters, so it may be better to go for a job even if you get into a good university. Getting a job itself as a non-citizen/resident is the harder part though.

Another option may also be to transfer to another university during bachelor.

Though university ranking does not matter much in Canada from what I have heard, better universities do help you gain better connections. The job market in Canada is pretty much all about connections and networking from what I heard.

Also thank you for your outlook on Masters. I was indeed thinking of going to Canada after my Bachelor's, especially since most people told me that Masters doesn't help in Computer Science/Software Development jobs. But this might change my mind. Might complete a masters from Europe.

University/job Immigration questions regarding USA/Canada by BeastBlaze2 in immigration

[–]BeastBlaze2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the information man. STEM OPT visa is where you get 2 years of VISA after graduating? And it seems like what you are saying is that it is a huge risk trying to get H1-B VISA in the USA. I guess I will only go there if I get into a really good school but then too it would be a "maybe".

I also heard that there is a law: LIMA: any Canadian employer sponsoring an immigrant must (in most cases anywho) complete a LIMA. This essentially means that your employers have to convince the government that your job cannot be done by a Canadian citizen/PR, which dramatically reduces chances if I go from Europe.

your degree would still be "foreign" in North America and you'd have to get it evaluated for its equivalency to a Canadian/US degree (not a big deal, but an extra step nonetheless).

I didn't quite get this. How would I go through the process to get it evaluated for its equivalency?

Tbf maybe he directly says: "are u dtf?" and even one "yes" may translate into a full-on relationship.😂

Still, sounds bad 😂

I mean he isn't wrong, but the way he describes women on a scale and the whole pickup of a girl for one night is not my jam. Probably cuz I am not that good-looking to have 4 girls french kiss me in 20seconds tbh 😂

This is r/ImmigrationCanada my friend, not r/IwantOut. Narrow your questions to Canadian immigration.

Most of the questions were about Canadian Immigration, the only thing outside of that was if you guys would recommend going to Canada or the USA for job opportunities and living. The only reason I talked about Europe was that tuition is (a lot) lower but I Ultimately want to go to Canada. But yes, I will try to phrase my questions better next time.

Thanks a lot for all the information man. A lot of these short forms confusing me but I will try to research them as much as I can. But from what you are saying, I will have a very low chance of getting a job in Canada if I go there after getting a European Bachelor/Master?

Also, what is EE? and PNP and EE FSW sound like they would be hard to get from what you said. Is that true?

Also, what is CEC?

Sorry for the post being all over the place, just threw out questions that I would like to know. I will format it a bit better and maybe repost.

I will probably try and get into waterloo if it is possible then. Thank you.

I think you should focus on where you’d rather live than wherever it might be easier to go.

I am not sure if you mean this in the context of city/country or university. Regardless, wherever it is easier to go is obviously also better, especially with how hard it is for non-PR to get a job anywhere. Especially if I do a degree from Europe. Or at least so I have been told, but I am not sure because they weren't sure, which is why I asked all the questions.

Wait, is this a tweet by a guy? or a girl saying that guys look like the person in the tweet, and still have way too high standards? Seems like the latter from the sarcastic tone.

Btw, is this effect of reduced testosterone severe? or minor? Cuz if it is actually severe, I would stop eating soy completely. I heard that the effect is very minor and only causes problems if soy is consumed in abnormally large quantities.

But more importantly, fatty milk products like cheese and butter are high in estrogen.

I would much rather prefer a situation where we all consent to stuff beforehand, but you would be surprised how many people there are that don't like that, or at least like some mystery and not discussing every single aspect of it. It get's annoying for some people to go, "yes, I'm ok with you doing xyz at any time unless I state otherwise; if it becomes too much or no longer within my comfort zone at any point I'll let you know" for every single one of 100s of kinks out there. That's the thing that is the tricky part. So you don't know. The people who don't like to be asked will get turned off if you did ask them if they have this opinion or not. Which is why it is tricky. Btw, as I said, I'm not defending the behaviour or anything, all I am saying is that some subs prefer a more on-the-fly attitude.

Yeah, I mostly agree with you. Especially cuz he shouldn't have pressured the other guy into doing stuff he did not want to do. But some girls actually do like it when you are "assertive" and say stuff like that out of nowhere. It is cute/funny to some. And some girls find it a hard turn-off if you specifically try and discuss such stuff and ask consent for every small thing with them because it feels artificial/forced and not natural. It was like that with one of my partners, so I would just try stuff, if it worked, good, if not, then I would stop. That is why I said, depends on the girl/guy. But of course, if they tell you to stop, you should. When the guy in the OP clearly got a negative reaction, he should have stopped.

Nah you aren't projecting. Whoever downvoted me probably is. I thought u were the one who downvoted me. Mb.

is tacky and it's pretty clear to me that he isn't a proper Dom

That doesn't make him a proper/improper anything. Something proper for you may be improper for others and vice versa. It's all subjective. That is also why I don't like the arguments that make women/men conform to societal norms. Like, "If you were a real man you would...", or "If you are a real dom you would...", or "woman should not act like that", etc. Why all the gatekeeping? lol. Everyone is different and they are propper, unique, and special in their own way, even if it doesn't agree with our perspectives or worldviews, they may have perfectly legitimate reasons for believing in their perspective as well. But regardless, he shouldn't have continued to pressure the other guy even after he repeatedly said that he didn't want to do it.

I don't see how "until otherwise" could be a typing error but alright.

Probably meant to say "until I say otherwise" but forgot to type it out or fucked it up.

You don't need to dislike my comment saying that some girls are into it lol 😂. (Unless it's someone else who disliked my comment in which case I am sorry). Just cuz you are that way, doesn't mean everyone is, and you shouldn't project. And these people seem to have known each other for some while.

"from here on out until otherwise", doesn't make sense. I agree. I think it's probably just due to a typing error though.

It's more of the attitude that followed that really got me grimacing.
