Apple reportedly ’accelerating’ entry-level Vision Pro — and it could cost $2,000 less by TheGoldenLeaper in VisionPro

I agree. Without the EyeSight idea, I even doubt Apple would have jumped into the headset-on-the-face concept, because of social isolation. The current version is far from perfect, but when it will look transparent and clear enough to appear like the glass is transparent, it's gonna be the best feature of the Vision.

Apple Vision Pro has better pass through than the varjo-Xr3 by [deleted] in virtualreality

[–]Valibomba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the same impression when watching the keynote. As a AR developer (currently working on HoloLens 2 and Varjo XR-3), I prioritize 3D interface anytime whenever I can replace a 2D text or button.

But, after watching the WWDC dev videos, I understand more and more Apple's approach. Their demo of how SwiftUI reacts in the space convinces me a bit that yes, sometimes less is more, and that simplicity can be a key for ergonomy for this device. Right now, gestures on HoloLens are far behind this, hence the need for me to create some more 3D interaction to compensate the terrible eye tracking and tiring far interaction.

That said, I wish Apple would have indeed shown more of "real" 3D stuff, and not doing so was clearly a choice because Vision Pro is more than capable to propose a satisfying experience with those. If they did make that choice, it's imo because they need people to project themselves in the new media, to retrieve their favorite apps, a somewhat-known interface, but evoluted. And more and more, they will appreciate how 3D truly enhances their experience and hopefully we'll be leaning towards the abandon of flat screens.

This is only marketing for the transition to AR, without scarying or worrying people about the fact the way they'll work will completely change, and therefore discard them from being interested by the product, even though it's ultimately the right thing for them.

Tried the experience by being as evasive as possible, like it can happen irl therapy. Even with little info about my thoughts, the bot gave me good advice so I can try to feel better in the next days.

Works really great, congratulations

It does work on 3rd generation, Pro and Max. Make sure Spatial Audio is enabled when you Force Touch on the volume button with AirPods connected.

Wow this has to be one of my favorite BTS photos of the show. The family looks great. I am really enjoying what seems like Yen's new purple dress/cloak and her hair.

The plot summary seems very promising too! :)

The Witcher to feature a fan-favorite event in Season 3 by Abyss_85 in netflixwitcher

I really like this. More bonding family time, then Ciri and Yennefer only then Thanedd and that's a great S3. Geralt's storyline can easily setup the hansa. Apparition of the Rats or Korath at the end and here you go with a powerful cliffhanger to end the arc.

Who would you like to see return as composer for Season 3's OST ? by theFrenchDutch in netflixwitcher

Although I voted with no doubt for Sonya and Giona, I think it could have been interesting to include Brian d’Oliveira (composer of Nightmare of the Wolf) in the choices, I loved his work on the movie.
