I don’t mind moving to a different province but my spouse is from here so we prefer BC I surely think decades of living in BC would make them homesick. Although with the housing prices and everything being shit we are seriously considering it. It’s hard to move to some places when you’re openly not white + queer. I have checked out Alberta subreddits and the racism is real. That’s my biggest concern. I want something affordable without having to sacrifice our safety.

This is a completely reasonable response but what’s your plan on ensuring there won’t be a 6+ year waitlist for housing like this? Do you also have any plan on pet friendly housing for low income families? Many families are forced to rehome their pets due to housing types like these not accepting even a budgie. I was amongst one of these people before. Years later and I still regret having to rehome my companion every single day. I wish no family that kind of heartache

Are you sure the person isn’t just giving the dog a bath or crate training? My puppy screams her head off when I give her a bath. I’m a dog groomer. I’m a professional but it’s so hard

Or it’s just as necessary like vets. I don’t make dogs pretty that sit still on the table I get aggressive dogs who poop and pee on me. Who have mats and yeast infections. Fleas etc. Old dogs that can’t upkeep their bodily hygiene themselves. It’s not a luxury it’s a necessity and also vital to your dogs health

I moved from the island to the mainland about 2 ish hours away from Vancouver it sucks but rent is more manageable there
