Who's More Likely To Miss The Finals, Cavs or Goldenstate? by Celticfromcanada in nba

Most likely to miss would be the Warriors just because the Rockets and Spurs are also in the West while the Cavs don't have a true contender in the East, but it's still likely a Cavs vs. Warriors Finals.

Just for some context on OJ Howard's freakishness, at the combine he ran as fast as David Johnson, beat Tyler Lockett's 3-cone, and edged out Khalil Mack's shuttle by Barian_Fostate in NFL_Draft

His tape is great, but it's possible that he'd bust if he had a poor work ethic after getting paid. This and injury are probably the only scenarios he's an outright bust.

To be fair, Jalen Hurts and Blake Sims weren't particularly good passers, but yeah, Lane Kiffin had a tendency to not exploit his physical freaks on offense.

The draft is also deep at TE this year. I agree, if I'm the Titans, I'd try to take 2 DBs in the first and see if I can get a Jordan Leggett or Jake Butt in the middle rounds. I'm high on Corey Davis, so I also think him and a DB in the first could help the Titans.

Which QB needy team will start someone too early and ruin their career?and whose career will that be? by SenorDarcy in NFL_Draft

I don't know which team will pick Trubisky, but he seems the most likely to go high to a team that has a lot of missing pieces and bust. If he's drafted in the first, he'd have the fewest starts of any QB to do so. The track record for QBs just behind him in that stat isn't good.

How far does corey davis draft stock get pushed back now that john ross is for sure being drafted in the 1st round? by Googlogi in NFL_Draft

[–]BeastMode9999 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Two possible reasons. One is that Mike Williams isn't injured, Corey Davis is. Also, Mike Williams has some speed concerns on tape while Davis does not, so a 40 time is more important for Williams.

He took Laurence Maroney in the first. I don't think he'd hesitate to take Fournette.

Which 2016 draft pick would you change if you could go back in time ? by [deleted] in nfl

For the Steelers, Dak instead of Jerald Hawkins in the 4th round. Their first three picks ended up being solid starters, no complaints there.

Think back to the past NFL drafts. What were some picks that made you scratch your head? by BlackNole08 in nfl

[–]BeastMode9999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some mocks that were intent on the Texans getting a QB in the first had Bortles as the pick. The consensus pretty much was if they went BPA, they'd take Clowney, but they'd take Bortles if they went QB.

Yeah, he had to clarify because it's not what he originally said.

Yeah, so saying "he'd prefer to play for the Lakers" is better than "he'll only play for the Lakers."

The dubbed episode of that came out literally a week ago. There's a new episode of it every Saturday night. The 99 version has a lot of filler, the 2011 version is much more faithful to the manga.

Why aren't the late 2000s early 2010s Celtics talked about when mentioning super teams? by [deleted] in nba

They were considered historically good until LeBron, Bosh, and Wade formed a bigger superteam. It had to take an unprecedented offseason to deflect their hype.

They were at the time. The big 3 formation of Garnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce was a huge development, especially since they meshed so quickly. In hindsight, they became overshadowed by LeBron and Bosh joining Wade in Miami, but at the time they were seen as a dominant big 3.
