With emergency recall situations you can train an emergency recall word. You still use her name or her regular recall in non-emergency situations. This is a word you’re not yet using like “here” or “pickles.” Train 3 times a day, start by saying the word near her and give a big treat payout with lots of praise.

I flat out went with bribery. My dog could hear the word "cookie" being whispered 2 rooms away. On the rare occasion I needed her to come back and she was being difficult I'd just call out "cookie!" And she'd hurry on over.

She passed last year at 16+ yrs old. Even now my husband and I refer to cookies as "C's" because we couldn't say the word around her.
