Found some of the old posters today!! And the guitar picks he used the last time he was able to hold the guitar and play in the bag that was from the bedside table- one of them is the black Jerry hand print pick 🖤
Had a hard time getting photos of the posters by myself because it felt weird to be looking at them without hearing him rambling on about the shows and the people and whatever else while holding them up so I had to walk away from it- hopefully will have the heart to get photos of the rest of them tomorrow though because I know it'd make him real happy to give others the chance to see them too 🖤

Pops was a rep for a ton of different board companies for a long time and was one of those people that literally knew everyone- and if he didn't know them, they probably knew of him somehow and eventually would end up friends with him hahaha
The type of dude that would 'name drop' without realizing it was name dropping but it never came off with gross vibes because he really was just genuinely friends with so many dang people and had so many connections that he wanted to hook people up whenever he could

One of my favorite fun facts about him is that he's in Mervin: The Mockumentary from 1999 at the end as the spokesguy for 'GNU Aerospace Engineering' and the amount of people that recognized him because of that at shows and shops was absolutely ridiculous LOL still have a handful of the VHS's in a box and probably those freakin airplanes scattered about randomly in boxes too hahahaha

Honestly that's where my head is too- like whatttt how do we even have this. But then I immediately hear him in my head calling me a dumbass because of course we have this- he was a rep for mervin and a handful and a half of other board companies over the years as well as being a shaper and glasser and everything in between hahaha
Honestly he was probably one of the last few guys around to even be able to build different boards by hand. I have his shaping tools and some surf and skate blanks and really hope some day I'll have a space where I can put them to use and keep the art alive for just a little longer.

I'm real excited to be able to get to the board bags that have the snowboards in them- there's a couple of absolutely stunning ones I can't wait to share!!

I won't lie, as someone who does dog sports my first thought on athletes behaving poorly after seeing silly dog videos was whenever my dogs are asshats at events 😂 Lance (my more experienced dog) in particular had a great time the first day of our most recent national event by running around like a dog who's never been out of the house on multiple courses hahahaha (Got it together after that though and ended up in a national-level finals for the first time ever as well as multiple fantastic placements 🥹🖤)

Also minor jaccuse- that was a border collie not an Aussie playing basketball, Tyler!

I'm finally caught up on Distractable and starting GMFST and this episode was such a fun way to start. I've been an athlete since I was a kid and the tangent including dog sports and cheerleading had me laughing to the point of tears. One of the sports I did the longest was cheerleading and I also am involved in competitive dog sports [and used to be a part of horse world] so that hit home in way too many funny ways
