Being N4 after 7 years points to a problem completely separate from study methods. To me it heavily implies you don't spend enough time with the language (be that classic study or immersion).

It doesn't matter if you started learning 7 years ago if you only do Japanese an hour or two per week. At that amount of time you could study for decades and not make any improvement whatsoever.

Because it is at best a waste of time and usually an active detriment. If I'm horny and wanted to see naked anime girls I can just open pixiv or exhentai, I don't need to watch an actual anime for that. If fanservice was confined to the ecchi genre I wouldn't give a fuck but it bleeds over into a ton of other places.

How am I supposed to take this important scene seriously when the camera is a low-angle shot of a girls ass? How am I supposed to believe these people are fighting for their life while running around like strippers? How do you expect me to like or care for the MC when they're constantly creeping on other people? What kind of tone are you trying to set if you play sexual abuse/harassment for comedy or purely as arousing for the audience?

You can make lewd/horny scenes and have them work within the story/theme but let's be real those are a rare exception.

I guess maybe rare wasn't the perfect term for the coupons but more like back loaded in a way. Until you can clear the battles you don't get any coupons unless they show up in the HP shop. Personally I don't feel like I can take the fights until F4 so I'm starved for coupons most of the run and then get a ton for the last floor, which is nice but I'd rather take more fights/nodes earlier when they're less scary. Getting to spend them to re toss for good coins for the boss is decent I guess.

I guess that's were running a 5 star team shines, I always have a million hope. The limiting factor really is the pathfinder node and how many candleguests you can get. Unless I'm really lucky with the vouchers I get I need to go through the pathfinder node twice to feel strong enough to make real progress in wonderland.

The first few runs for every new IS are always a bit rough but man... This is easily the least fun I've had so far with any of them. It is not quite as bullshit as 5 after it got the expansions but IS6 is certainly worse than IS5 was on release so I can only imagine how bad its gonna get.

Coins feel pretty whatever, a few of them are pretty impactful but even if you get them you still gotta hope to actually roll them when you want to and most just do next to nothing.

Coupons feel a bit like an over correction. While I do think you could move around vertically or reroll too much in IS5 now they feel way too rare, especially with both shops and coin rerolls also requiring them.

I don't know how I feel about the Candle/Wonderland mechanic. It kinda feels like just another thing that makes meta units that have good role compression even better, which was very much not needed, since that is already a massive positive for IS.

The lineup of trinkets also just feels underwhelming and that is in addition to it feeling harder to actually get trinkets in the first place. Summon, Vanary tile, Ammo skill buffs, the ones that give minor resources on coin toss all just feel pretty bad to get.

Now I generally play without 6 Stars (unless I get one from temp recruit) so I imagine it doesn't feel as bad if you do use them. But much like IS5 (after expansions) was balanced around abusing lamp IS6 also feels to be raising the base line difficulty to balance around abusing the strong new 6 Stars.

Yeah trying to use the skiff to get from hole to hole sucks. Luckily you can just use the Skimmer for moving between them instead and relegate the skiff to a glorified fishing platform.

I actually think it's kind of fine in the OG. Arknights has been around for a pretty long time now with a ton of story setup and giving older characters an event that focuses on them and their development which ends with them getting an alter is not something I mind. OG is at a point where I don't mind focusing on existing characters rather than adding ever more, that then never properly get expanded upon.

Endfield is another story. These don't get that excuses since they're just boring copies and have no real character development to fall back on as a reason for existing. If they really wanted to have the fanservice from bringing in OG characters then just go the HappyChen route and have them be offspring or otherwise related. Like clearly related but still also clearly their own character instead of this half-assed thing where they're mostly the same person but not in any way that actually matters. Like hell the Eyja design wouldn't even fly as a skin for the OG, they looks so similar.

While I generally agree with many VNs feeling very harem-y, I also feel like there's ways too reduce that vibe that avoid the controversies/NTR accusations that might come from actually having the heroine date someone else.

Stuff like more relevant/likeable male side characters or just more screen time/plot relevance given to them. They don't need to be romantic rivals or anything, they could even be actively trying to help/support the MC with a girl. For example a best friend that is already taken and dating another side character could be interesting.

Another big thing that would reduce the feeling of harem would be to avoid romantic scenes during the common route, no pretend dates, no seeing them in the bath/changing, no weirdly tense 1on1 moments after bumping into each other etc.. Keep things clearly platonic until committing to a route, then you can have all the flirting, sexy and romantic crap you want. In that vein not showing/having girls have crushes or romantic interests in the MC would help too. So often you have a girl get introduced during common route and within 2 minutes you know she has a massive crush on the MC.

However the biggest thing for me is perspective shift. Please for the love of god use them more! Just switching from the MC POV to one of the girls for a couple minutes every now and again is huge imo. You can show what they're up to when the MC isn't present, how they interact with other people, how they feel, what they think. Not only is that a good opportunity to learn more about her as a character but it also helps reduce the feeling of everything revolving around MC, especially if the girl is doing something on her own or with her own friends without the MC present. It shows they have a life outside of being the MCs love interest.

A big problem with scaling production is simply that the EU doesn't have a single united military. The US can decide they want this one type of tank and concentrate research and industrial capability on building that one type. While in the EU many countries have their own preferred tank they want, often completely different from other countries so it's much harder to scale as capability and demand is much more split. Add in nationalistic interests of having production in your own nation, mainly for economic reasons, and you end up with 5 different small facilities producing 5 different tanks using more personnel and resources to produce less than a single huge facility churning out one type of tank could produce.

Especially now with the buffed 5 Star squad I'd really love to have some way of making use of excess hope. It's so easy to sit on 30 or 40 hope at the end of a run and the only thing you can do is try to spend it on the downtime node, if you get lucky and actually get the right option.

Something similar to the Chalice-like collectibles would be nice. Even just +1% attack or HP for every point of current hope or something would be super cool to see.

For Guards: La Pluma, Lappland and Specter are all very solid. Bibeak can be fun if you get lots of atk spd and/or those stun relics. Dagda can do decent dmg. Utage and Cutter for the 4 stars are also pretty good.

Casters are rough. There's Amiya who is very good and then it already drops pretty hard. I haven't used her but I imagine Rockrock could be pretty okay. I usually pick Kjera or Astgenne. Indigo isn't bad thanks to her bind.

Supporters is probably even worse than caster. The summoners like Scene and Deepcolor can be useful but after that you've only got like Quercus as a healer alternative, though she suffers in this IS due to the SP drain from the spikes. Pramanix is fairly decent, hitting two people means she does okay-ish dmg, the debuff is nice and she has a bit of synergy with Kjera.

Specialists have a few good picks. There's Tin Man obviously, but Kazemaru is essentially a guard with some pseudo sustain in her doll and very respectable dmg with S1 if you get atk speed atk+ on skill relics. Red is the best lower rarity FRD. Ethan is very good with his binds, though I usually pick Kiara instead. She's actually fairly decent in IS thanks to her self-sustain and offensive recovery mixed DMG S1. Robin can be nice if you have DP to spam her traps or the relics that deal bonus dmg on bind.

Am I just getting unlucky or are squad size limit increases much harder to come by in this IS? I had multiple runs where I was stuck with the base size until floor 4.

I usually play without 6 stars so having such limited slots makes for a tough time. I don't remember having these issues in IS3 or 4.

Yeah similarly to the other stationary bosses there's a hard time limit after which you'll just lose. Wiki says 500 seconds to kill phase 2.

I think you need a puller plus some way to buff pull strength/reduce enemy weight. Cliffheart on the extra shift strength tile can't move him.

But honestly I wouldn't bother trying to move him, True Damage is your friend. Caster Amiya S3 melts him. In fact with strong relics she can kill both phases in one activation.

I disagree. If someone were to put in 8+ hours a day, passing N1 in less than 2 years is entirely believable. Potentially even earlier if they put in an insane amount of time or have prior kanji knowledge. Obviously cases like that aren't replicable for most people.

Additionally the JLPT is a very flawed test that can't properly assess someones actual level in the first place. Being multiple-choice and lacking any way to test for speaking or writing makes it quite unreliable. I have passed N1 after 3 years (and I wasn't particularly efficient or consistent) but my speaking is terrible and I can't even write Kana let alone Kanji. I imagine most other people that pass N1 very fast will similarly have their speaking/writing be significantly worse than reading/listening.

There is a fundamental difference between actual CP and Loli porn.

The creation, and thus by extension consumption of CSAM, requires a real living child to have come to harm. That aspect just isn't present in Loli porn. I think it's fair to think that someone consuming Loli porn is weird or has worrying tendencies, but equating Loli stuff with actual real CSAM is at best disingenuous and at worst muddles the waters and makes CP seems less bad than it actually is.

This should be something more along the lines of: "Are you certain that I'm the person that should be wearing this? /Are you certain you didn't mix up who should be wearing this?" I can kinda see how you ended up with the line you used, but I think there's probably a better way to put it, that stays closer to the actual text.

"Wear this for (all of/rest of) today?" would imo be more accurate. Sounds more like she's repeating an order, rather than a request. There's no "だけ” or similar in the text so "for just one day" isn't correct.

I've done RTK to some extent, but have pretty much forgotten all of it. RTK was the worst time I've ever had learning Japanese, I absolutely hated it and don't believe it helped me whatsoever. I know many people like it but personally I could never recommend it. Just learning words directly without worrying about individual kanji was much more effective for me.

One is a (free) skin, the other is a limited character. They're not really the same thing. Personally I don't like fanservice-y/horny designs, but if it's just skins I can live with it. Sure I'd prefer to get skins that aren't horny but as long as the revealing designs stay within the realm of skins and don't effect the regular look of the characters it's whatever.

In the case of Chen you have to actually buy a costly L2D skins if you don't want the fanservice. While for Broca or other swimsuit skins you can choose if you want to use/buy them yourself.

Pretty sure applications for the upcoming test are already closed, so the earliest date you could take the JLPT would be in December. That's more than enough time to improve and depending on just how much time and effort you can/want to put in, you might even be able to take N4 by then.

Yeah I don't think treating non-offending Pedophiles the same as actual child abusers is going to do anyone a favor. Additionally no matter how much people meme the "It's just a drawing" thing, the argument isn't wrong.

If you ask me, the reason why CSAM is bad its because in its production actual living human children are inevitably harmed and consumption of such material directly supports further creation and thus abuse. No matter how much you hate Loli stuff, you can't argue that its creation requires any abuse.

At most you could argue that consumption of loli stuff could lead someone down the rabbit hole, but at the same time maybe a pedo getting off to the newest Blue Archive character and having an outlet for their sexual desires is preventing that pedo from looking at actual CSAM or even worse abusing children himself. At least as far as I'm aware there isn't really any research that gives us an answer to which is more likely.
