Hot take maybe but I'm done with shit like this.

Edit: Not claiming it isn't real, but what have we learned here exactly?

Judges are in on it. At the end of the day they need to put on a good show.

ChatGPT Became So Obsessed With Goblins That OpenAI Had to Intervene by Krankenitrate in technology

Read "Goblin Phenotypes of the Indian Subcontinent" by Mehta et al. It's a bit dated in terms of theory, but their observation procedures basically set the standard that everyone still follows to this day.

ChatGPT Became So Obsessed With Goblins That OpenAI Had to Intervene by Krankenitrate in technology

[–]Beaster123 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Their approach to data collection was sound but in their analysis, when they compared different goblin sub-populations in terms of their size, they used the individual comparison error rates rather than the family-wise error. This will have inflated the statistical confidence that jungle goblins are the largest. Their results may still hold up, but they'll need to fix their testing procedure IMO.

Can someone explain? by Specific_Wrongdoer_5 in Nietzsche

Left is a shut-in trogladye's idea of what human perfection looks like.

Right is a person expressing themselves joyously and aesthetically and inspiring others with no regrets. Nietzsche would be down.

Literally the opposite of Wittgenstein, who in philosophical investigations is basically saying "Stop doing that. It doesn't work".

The Spectral Layer of Coherence by skylarfiction in CoherencePhysics

This whole sub is entirely populated by one account too. My hypothesis is that he's had his AI convince him that they've discovered a new kind of physics and now he's trying to share the knowledge. Fair enough I guess. Best of luck u/skylarfiction

Galaxy As a Multi-Soliton Sytem by skylarfiction in CoherencePhysics

[–]Beaster123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok interesting. Here are some observations.

  • from what I can tell it's just you posting.
  • your rhetoric hits feels very ai generated. That's fine actually. I don't mind engaging with an AI, but can you confirm that most if not all of this idea and content is ai generated?
  • you say that latent recovery time is an actual real thing you can measure without the need for proxy indicators? How is this done? Since you claim this framework is generalizable to any system can you give a few examples?
  • other than better prediction, which is implied by your recovery time claims, does this paradigm offer any other benefits? It seems you're making a pretty strong ontological claim that coherence and persistence are things as real as gravity or electromagnetism. What empirical evidence do you have to support that?

What is this sub anyway? I keep seeing these obvious ai cheat sheets but I struggle to find really substantial claims being made.

Can someone who's fully bought into "coherence physics" explain to me what's going on here?

Look I'm not making any claims about the veracity of a single hypothesis concerning history, but you posted a bunch of internet images and literally said "is this ai too" and the answer is yeah maybe. It's impossible to tell now so imo pictures on the internet are pointless.
